Having a few years of countless music releases and live performances under his belt, multitalented artist, Dinje, announces his first release of 2022 giving you a glimpse of his latest inspiration and soundscape. This time, he enlisted Sydney hip hop/pop veteran Mason Dane to rework the previously released record. ‘WISH I KNEW’ will be available on all streaming platforms today, on 25th March 2022.
‘WISH I KNEW’ is a true showing of Dinje’s sound and style progression, moving on from his rap background into the melodic hip hop and pop space while keeping his unique cadence consistent across his catalog.
Showing his ever-growing fanbase a brand new image and sound, Dinje is able to pull off a vocal performance that instantly catches on with a listener. In addition, the instrumental, produced by MULAK, creates nonstop head-nodding energy across the whole track.
Mason Dane, dubbed as one of Australia’s biggest independent artists, comes in on the first verse, bringing his iconic melody game to an already catchy and bright record. He’s the ultimate addition to this pop and melodic hip hop crossover, fitting into the record perfectly.
On the track’s inspiration: “Whether you’re at the beginning, middle, or the end of a relationship, we all encounter uncertainty. WISH I KNEW paints a crystal clear image of the uncertainty of not knowing if they love you back, or is it just you standing all alone on the bridge. It leaves you asking the question, do they feel the same for me as I do for them? Do they think of me? I WISH I KNEW”
On the tracks’s recording process: “Man! A huge shoutout to Mason Dane for everything he’s doing. I’ve always been a fan and he just happened to be in that pop/hip hop space too. I sent him the record with an open first verse, got back this heater of a record in like 24 hours and I’ve been itching to show it to the world ever since.”

About DINJE
If you are a keen follower or part of Australia’s music scene, chances are you’ve already heard the name, heard the music, watched him live, or worked with the multi-talented artist, producer, and sound engineer. Music has been a part of Dinje’s life for as long as he can remember and he already had a few unofficial releases before he moved to Australia in 2012.
Dinje soon found himself in a fully creative swing, spending time working on his writing, production, and engineering while releasing a string of records on Soundcloud, becoming a regular in the city’s many live stages and the release of his breakout single ‘Instagram Models’ back in 2016.
The artist’s years of experience and constant progression can be seen across his existing music catalog as he finds himself naturally evolving from hip hop to melodic rap and arguably to the pop-influenced sound. His latest single ‘WISH I KNEW’ is a fresh glimpse as to what the artist is going to be up to in the near future as he takes his sound across the borders to the global stage.
