Singer/songwriter and Emmy award winning actress Dove Cameron has released her new banger of a track ‘Girl Like Me’ via Disruptor Records/Columbia Records. The new song puts a fresh new twist on the 1994 hit ‘Girl Like You’ by Edwyn Collins and further establishes Dove as a creative disruptor in the music industry challenging gender roles and power within relationships.

“I grew up listening to the original by Edwyn Collins and it’s been one of my favorite songs since as long as I can remember. I wanted to cover it for ages,” said Dove. “Then one day, we had the idea to gender flip it, or rather, write an empowering response to the original – with a slightly more synth-y club future leaning point of view. This song is what I would want playing behind me in a slow motion fight scene in the action film of my dreams.”
Dove recently won an award for “New Artist of the Year” at the American Music Awards and was also featured on the December cover of Vogue Greece with Olivier Rousteing. Coming up, Dove is confirmed to perform at several iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour shows including Los Angeles, NYC, and Boston. She has also been doing a ton of press including an interview in Nylon which came out this week and features in Alt Press Magazine and Consequence that will be coming out next week.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
