“Seductively danceable, DRAMA nails the emotional intricacies of an imbalanced relationship.” – Rolling Stone
“Known for seamlessly blending electronic and R&B beats in their music, the duo’s newest single continues to break those musical barriers with its soft vocals, alluring R&B undertones, and electrifying club-worthy beats.” – Flaunt
Chicago-based genre defying duo DRAMA – composed of producer Na’el Shehade and vocalist Via Rosa – released their album, Platonic Romance, available everywhere now via AWAL. Renowned for their intoxicating fusion of house, R&B, soul, and dance-pop, DRAMA’s third studio album marks a bold evolution in the duo’s sonic journey, offering a rich and textured exploration of heartbreak, emotional growth, acceptance, and the nuance of human connection. Crafted over several years, highlights from Platonic Romance include the title track “Platonic Romance,” singles “On The Way,” “Savannah” along with ten new captivating tracks including “Young 4Ever” with acclaimed producer Amtrac, and “Here With Me.”
“Platonic Romance is about unconditional empathy, loyalty, honesty, and respect,” says Rosa. “It’s about the small, everyday gestures that keep relationships alive, the quiet fires we put out to protect the bonds that matter most. Above all, it’s about honoring the rare gift of finding each other, souls colliding on a spinning rock in space, and choosing, every day, to love.”
DRAMA delivers their signature “lovesick” sound with heightened emotional clarity and artistic depth on Platonic Romance – their first full-length release since 2020’s critically acclaimed Dance Without Me. An immersive collection, the album represents the most fully realised expression of DRAMA’s genre-blurring identity and “the mature” evolution of their sound. Rosa’s evocative, soul-drenched vocals pair seamlessly with Shehade’s intricate and lavish production, creating a soundscape that is both deeply vulnerable and irresistibly danceable.

“We’re growing up and being true adults,” Shehade says, “which involves taking accountability for certain things – being able to apologise, being able to be okay with your emotions. That’s what his ok project is about, because no matter how different we are as people, we’re always on the same page as well.”
The announcement of their North American headline tour follows a string of career highlights that have seen DRAMA evolve from underground favorites to international mainstays. With a string of acclaimed releases including Dance Without Me (2020) and Till We Die (2023), the duo has collaborated with artists such as Gorgon City and Flight Facilities, supported Coldplay, ODESZA, and Jungle on global tours, and captivated audiences at Coachella, Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, and Electric Forest. Their breakout collaboration “You’ve Done Enough” with Gorgon City has now surpassed 100 million streams worldwide.
The past week, DRAMA introduced Platonic Romance with a series of special events throughout their hometown with a fan listening event at a beloved local pizza shop and an intimate playback and Q&A at a members club. Next week, they’ll be hosting an in-store at Shuga Records, as well as a livestream on their Twitch Channel. Join the DRAMA CLUB to stay tuned for more fan-events at here.

AMNPLIFY – DB

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
