Brace yourselves for the blistering arrival of “Dog Cunts,” the latest track from Melbourne hardcore-fuelled metal band, DREGG. This fiercely anticipated single releasing on May 17th, promises to deliver an unapologetic punch, embodying the band’s uncompromising raw energy and defiant ethos, but heavier and more aggressive than they’ve ever been seen before.
With roots in metal, hardcore, and rap, DREGG’s music is a riotous collision of genres, served up with bombastic brutality and iconoclastic absurdity. ‘Dog Cunts’ lives up to that explosive reputation and serves as a visceral anthem, a no-holds-barred ‘fuck you’ that’s aimed squarely at those who have hindered their journey or doubted their resolve.
DREGG are known for constantly defying expectations, but the visual offering for ‘Dog Cunts’ goes 1000 steps further, offering the viewer 2 minutes and 28 seconds of unbridled carnage and chaos, perfectly accentuating the energy of the song. The music video (directed by Josh Hickie) for this pissed off track resembles more of a rap video, than a typical metal band production. Packed with cinematic shots across numerous locations, the video captures DREGG in their element—shocking, awe-inspiring, and downright thrilling.

“‘Dog Cunts’ was born out of a feeling of betrayal, whether it be from industry, family, friends or anyone else that has tried to stunt our growth. It’s definitely our most aggressive song yet and it was cathartic to play around with such a violent sound and lyrics. We felt that the video had to match the energy to serve it justice. We worked with our good friend Josh Hickie (director) to bring the chaos to life by throwing everything we could in the mix. In classic DREGG fashion, we just wanted to push it to the next level visually. Whether it be stunt loops in a Chinese Warbird, mosh pits in the middle of Fitzroy or strapping Zov and Zak to the roof of a Hilux, we wanted to remind everyone that no one does it like DREGG.” – Christopher Mackertich, Vocalist
