After an incredible tour in the UK and Colombia, DRIFTWOOD. travels to Mexico, as part of the Marvin 2022 Festival, considered the SXSW of Mexico.
“Auntie”, his brand-new single, is available on streaming platforms now!
The Australian singer, songwriter, and visual artist Driftwood. decided to take his talents to the international market a few months ago, and he has found success. Since the release of “3 AM,” music lovers have added this versatile, refined, and avant-garde artist to their playlists.
The international venture has yielded its first results with Driftwood. taking part in the 2022 edition of the Marvin Festival in Mexico. Driftwood. will be a part of the Roma-Condesa circuit from October 27 to 29. This year’s circuit includes Dean Wareham and the Gilla Band, among others.
Driftwood. presents us “Auntie”, a song that is now available on streaming platforms. “Auntie” has, of course, his unmistakable stamp: a strong vibration that takes us on a voyage of soul and house, and the brand has been developed in an urban environment that is as universal as it is contemporary. His song “Auntie” was written while he was in Jersey, a city where he joined forces with LVNDVN in composition and Waresdanny as a producer.
The production embodies the expressive concerns with which Driftwood. has been captivating us over the years: meticulous attention to detail, an aesthetic universe all its own, and a refinement that encompasses a feeling of soul and house.
In Driftwood.’s own words: “My work creates a narrative that moves between reality and the ethereal paradigms within my imagination. My goal is for art to provoke thoughts and emotions in listeners, creating an overall aesthetic where music and visual components work together as a single artistic piece.” It is from this perspective that “Auntie” begins. The Australian artist Driftwood. has mastered the art of combining his talents as a musician and visual artist in a way that opens a world of sensations and experiences. His career under this name began in 2014 and he has released 11 singles with elements of minimalist soul and RNB. Videos accompanying every song introduce a universe of sensations and ideas that Driftwood. suggests to the viewer through the street culture, in tours of various cities around the world.
