The Maryland native plans on living forever through his music. After the release of his highly anticipated debut full-length project “Sonder Son” in October last year proved to be the perfect amalgamation of Faiyaz’s introspective yet relatable lyrics and authentically crafted productions, the R&B singer has returned to form. Faiyaz quickly drew attention with his first solo release “A.M. Paradox” in 2016 through its noted singles ‘Poison’ and the EP’s centerpiece ‘Invite Me’. The warm, rich, layered soulful release placed Faiyaz’s gifts as a skilled vocalist, writer and R&B stylist at the forefront.

Crafting a musical identity that slinks between the hero and the villain, the heartbreaker and the lovesick, the bold and the vulnerable, he walks a long and twisted path of multi-faceted complexity. Faiyaz’s supple, gentle tenor, and his distinct falsetto recall the ballads of the ‘90s in technical ability and softness. Possessing a variety of influences from Frank Sinatra to Marvin Gaye, authenticity in his music is key.

His vocal collaboration with Goldlink on ‘Crew’ earned Faiyaz RIAA Platinum certification, reaching #1 on Billboard’s Top Emerging Artists Chart, #16 on Rap Airplay, and spent 15-weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart.

Faiyaz is also a member of the trio Sonder, alongside producers Atu and Dpat, who delivered their proper introduction with the release of their first single “Too Fast” in 2017 ahead of their debut EP “INTO” – dubbed by Complex as one of 2017’s Best Albums. Now with the release of Faiyaz’s “Sonder Son” and its North American tour through cities including Atlanta, D.C., NYC, and LA – Brent Faiyaz will finally treat Australian audiences to his powerful, yet tender R&B croon this summer.
