It almost comes as no surprise that Dutchavelli is dropping another hit following the success of his recently acclaimed single “Bando Diaries”, and the surprise follow up “Bando Diaries Remix”, which he graced us all with featuring UK rap mavericks Onefour, Kekra, Noizy & Divine. With both visuals already racking up a combined 5M+ views (Bando Diaries trended #1 on YouTube) online within a month of release (Bando Diaries Remix trended in 7 countries and was viewed 1M+ in its first 24 hours), Dutchavelli has us gripped as he releases his new single “Cool With Me” feat. M1LLIONZ (LISTEN HERE).
The video, directed by Nathan James Tettey (Stormzy “Own It”, Dave “Black’”), in comparison to “Bando Diaries”, which gave us a glimpse into the glamour of trapping, gives us an alternative view into the road life. In signature Tettey fashion, the visuals are intense, cinematic and raw, and with a detailed focus on expression we see Dutch & Birmingham star M1LLIONZ effortlessly recite bar after bar with stacks of cash in tow and their group of guys always at the ready. With top 40 single secured with “B1llionz”, M1LLIONZ and Dutch – who are both relatively new to the scene – are both proudly topping the charts, and coming together to culminate in a single that’s set to follow suit.
Sporting an already impressive 31 weeks across the charts, with 25 of those being spent with two and more entries, Dutchavelli’s recent Top 10 hit with Tion Wayne & Stormzy (I Dunno) has been streamed over 43M times, plus a Top 20 with M Huncho (Burning) – garnering 16M streams, aren’t all he should be proud about. With four UK top 100 singles in a mere four months, a Noisey Magazine Cover Story in tow, and a starring role alongside Mancunian rapper Aitch, for Adidas’ Manchester United kit release advert, this only adds to his notch of accomplishments, and boasts about Dutchavelli easily being one of the hottest and most sought-after rappers in the UK game. 2020 has officially become ‘the year of Dutchavelli’ for this unstoppable artist.

About DUTCHAVELLI:
Make no mistake – Dutchavelli is doing it for greatness. The east London rapper set a goal four years ago – to be the best. A rapper’s rapper with true global appeal, a handsome side road hustler gone national, a man with a firm presence and a clear vision – Dutch has it all. And – in “Only If You Knew” and “Surely” – he already has two of the year’s biggest singles under his belt. Born in Birmingham, but raised in Rotterdam, Dutch spent his childhood between the Netherlands and the UK. When he moved to east London, age 12, he had a generation’s worth of music to catch up on.
Growing up with parents of Jamaican and Trinidadian heritage, music played a big part in Dutch’s upbringing. He and his siblings – one of whom is Stefflon Don – were encouraged to perform, clashing each other in the evening. His intentions were humble back then. “I thought, a kid where I’m from, that doesn’t happen. It was just to be the best out of my friends.” Still, his talent caught on. Locals on the block wanted him to take music seriously. Then he got nicked.
He was 17 years old when he went in, but the time served as inspiration.
“I knew I wanted to do music when I came out. There was no part of me that knew ‘these are the steps I’ll take to do it. I just thought: ‘I’ll be ready.’ I’ll have the hardest bars for when I eventually go to the studio.”
The same people Dutch impressed before he went inside were still waiting when he came out. Some came on as management.
“I hadn’t even dropped a song in my life. But that’s where it all started. We went to the studio, we shot some videos.”
Dutch released his debut video, “New Jack City”, in 2017. However, life wasn’t on his side. Though he was acquitted in November 2019 after a jury found him not guilty, Dutch served time in remand for a March 2018 robbery and firearm charge. It would be a few more months until Dutch the superstar arrived. When he did, he blew up like dynamite.
First track, “Only If You Knew”, charts the story of the past few years. The next track “Surely” doubled down on the bars. Both tracks racked up millions of plays in a matter of weeks. With the UK hanging on for his next release, Dutch’s ambitions now reach far and wide. He’s a true mogul too. Business like (he wants his label, 2Up2Down, to become a hot spot for young acts). Dutch is perhaps the most versatile, multi-faceted rap act to come from the UK in years. There’s been no slip-up, no selling out, and no watering down of his experience for commercial woo-ing either.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
