Today E for Echo are sharing the video for their latest single Talk Don’t Talk, directed by Michael Chow (Froyo, Vast Hill). The title track of their second EP will drop August 9th.
Awash with technicolour pinks, purples and blues, this video takes a quirky deep dive into the disconnect that can occur between our physical and emotional selves. Reminiscent of Sofia Coppola’s The Virgin Suicides, it is both dreamy and eery as it follows the band moving through the world in a trance-like state, going through the motions with their mouths taped shut.

The video was premiered on the big screen at Our Golden Age cinema in Surry Hills last week, followed by a live showcase from the band to a captive, packed out room. For the duration of this week, it is being featured as Video of the Week across Tone Deaf, The Industry Observer, The Brag and Don’t Bore Us.
Talk Don’t Talk scored a radio premiere on FBi, an online premiere with Music Feeds, and was added to rotation on 2SER last week. The band launched the single at a sold-out show at Oxford Art Factory and have accumulated +11K streams on Spotify alone. They also supported The Jezabel’s to launch their single Oh Boy earlier this year.

Talk Don’t Talk was produced by the band, was recorded and mixed by Simon Berckelman at Golden Retriever Studios (Architecture in Helsinki, The Internet) and mastered by Nick Franklin (Clews). The title track of their second EP How To Win drops August 9th.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
