Sydney 5-piece indie outfit Eagle Eye Jones have today unveiled their latest track ‘New Growth’, the story of a man struggling to find purpose, marred by addiction and abuse, in a world he desires to leave a better place than when he found it.

The new single is an unexpected, orchestral journey resolving in a cinematic crescendo, as the five-piece dance on the dagger between mainstream and art rock compositions.
The band have also announced their forthcoming debut album New Growth is set for release Friday June 9 via [PIAS] Australia, and will include previous singles ‘Alpine Meadows’, ‘Paperskin’ and ‘Wardrobe of Masks’
To coincide with the release, Eagle Eye Jones have delivered the visual offering of the brand-new single. Directed by Lev Jutsen, the clip is equal parts cinema and grit, rock, and ambience, inviting you into their world of disturbing troughs and triumphant peaks.

Discussing the clip, “New growth is a melding of music and cinema that explores the intimate, interwoven story of five friends through addiction and breakthrough, triumph and desperation, amity, and evolution. An innocent character wanders through rough terrain and inner turmoil, only to be led by friends to a cinematic oasis where the past is left behind and everything makes perfect sense.”
New Growth is a canopy of entropy, a love letter to humanity. These ten songs are the intimate, interwoven stories of five friends. Stories of love and dislocation, triumph and desperation, life, and death. Eagle Eye Jones’ debut album invites you into a lush, textural world of poeticism, philosophy, beauty, and song-craft.
