Announce Extra Melbourne Show

+ Perth Venue Change

“…the focus on this fifth album remains very firmly on stacking up, as The Wildhearts once said, riff after riff after motherfucking riff. The title track is as joyous a piece of music as you’ll hear in 2018, eight minutes and 45 seconds of sonic overload, while album closer Sudden End builds from hazy, languid blues-rock riffs into a swirling lysergic freakout. Turn on, tune in, bliss out.” – KERRANG! 4K

“The true heirs of the great power trios of the past such as JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE, CREAM and early GRAND FUNK RAILROAD.” – ROCK HARD

“…heavily Sabbath-ized cosmic riffle; a near nine-minute bongload of finest psychedelic prog…” -MOJO MAGAZINE March 2018 “Mojo Playlist”

“In an increasingly gridded-out, Pro-Tooled world, it’s a thrill to hear a power trio in 2018 playing like they’re opening for the Jimi Hendrix Experience and trying to blow him off the stage. Go into “Black Heaven” not looking for hit songs to sing along to. Go into it looking to be spirited away by people who understand the transportive, hypnotic power of rock and roll.” – DULUTH (Minnesota) NEWS TRIBUNE

San Diego heavy psych trio EARTHLESS have added an extra Melbourne show to their Feb/March national tour and have switch venues for their Perth show.

The extra show is at the Tote in Collingwood, on Saturday March 9, and the new venue for their March 10 show in Perth is the site of previous EARTHLESS glories out West, the Rosemount Hotel. Tickets for both shows are on sale now.

They’ll be touring on the back of their acclaimed 2018 studio album Black Heaven and their new live album From the West. Comprised of singer/guitarist Isaiah Mitchell, drummer Mario Rubalcaba (also of Rocket from the Crypt, Hot Snakes and hardcore supergroup Off!) and bassist Mike Eginton, Earthless have previously toured down under four times; the last time in 2015

Formed in 2001 in San Diego and citing Japanese psych bands like Blues Creation and Krautrock bands like Amon Düül II as early inspiration, the primarily instrumental trio has recently embraced Isaiah’s soulful vocals and heavy classic rock influences like Cream and Led Zeppelin. New direction or not, Earthless’s flamethrower approach remains – their music melts and burns and completely envelopes an audience. Old fans and new will not be disappointed when the band heads back down for their biggest Australian tour yet.
