Ed Sheeran releases the Play (Super Deluxe Edition) — an expanded version of his global No.1 album Play — featuring 14 bonus tracks, including five brand-new songs. Listen HERE. Leading the new material is the rhythmic, hard-hitting “Skeletons,” produced by Sheeran with Blake Slatkin and P2J (Burna Boy, Wizkid). Written in the aftermath of a fight he couldn’t quite shake, the track unpacks the tension of wanting to let something go but still feeling its echo.

The deluxe vinyl package arrives with a 24-page booklet packed with previously unseen photos from the making of Play, handwritten annotations for every song, full album lyrics, and exclusive artwork created for this edition. Purchase HERE.

Across both the original album and the new deluxe tracks, Sheeran deepened his collaboration with UK rapper, producer, and songwriter Dave. The two worked closely on “Opening,” “A Little More,” “Regrets,” “Technicolour,” “Fade Out,” and “Satellite,” with Dave contributing in both writing and production roles — a step forward from their earlier collaborations and a key part of Play’s sonic evolution.

Released in September 2025, Play debuted at No.1 in the UK, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Ireland, Germany, New Zealand, Poland, and Switzerland. The album marked a bold shift for Sheeran, recorded across multiple countries and shaped by a month-long creative period in India, where he worked with local musicians and immersed himself in regional traditions.

Ed Sheeran will return to Australia in January and February 2026 to kick off the global The Loop Tour. Touching down in Perth on January 31 at Optus Stadium, he will then head to Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Adelaide. Tickets are on sale now HERE.

Play’s sound was informed by Sheeran’s exposure to Indian and Persian musical cultures — and the unexpected parallels he found with the Irish folk tradition he grew up with, from shared scales to rhythmic structures. That global lens sits alongside the core of what makes a Sheeran record: emotionally direct songwriting and stripped-back balladry. He created the album with collaborators including Ilya Salmanzadeh (Ariana Grande), Savan Kotecha (The Weeknd), Johnny McDaid, Blake Slatkin (Justin Bieber), Cirkut (Charli XCX), Dave, Elvira Anderfjärd (Addison Rae), and Fred Gibson.

Most recently, Sheeran released Play – The Remixes EP, reimagining four album tracks with some of South Asia’s most celebrated artists: Hanumankind, Dhee, Santhosh Narayanan, Karan Aujla, Jonita, and Arijit Singh. Born out of his time in India, the EP extends the borderless spirit of Play — a fusion of voices, styles, and scenes that showcases Sheeran’s collaborative instincts at their most adventurous.

Last week, Netflix debuted ONE SHOT with Ed Sheeran, a single-take music experience directed by Emmy-winner Philip Barantini (Adolescence). Filmed across a single afternoon in New York City, the project follows Sheeran performing his biggest hits in real time — from subway platforms to sidewalk pop-ups — interacting with fans and capturing the spontaneity of the city in one uninterrupted shot.

This year, Sheeran was named one of TIME Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People of 2025, further cementing his global impact.
