Perth/Boorloo-based electro pop artist, Anna O, has continuously captivated the hearts of Australians throughout her career with her illustrious sound since the release of her debut EP back in 2015. Following up on her last release in 2020, she is releasing the commanding and richly produced track ‘We’ve Got Time’ on February 24.
Since joining the Australian music landscape in 2014, Anna O’Neil’s place within the industry has not gone unnoticed. She has supported national acts like Tash Sultana and Thelma Plum and her previous releases have seen a variety of support on Triple J, Triple J Unearthed, Tone Deaf and has landed a number of TV placements including a spot on the Australian television show Wentworth.
Now, O’Neil captures a period of her life, navigating the numerous challenges of life as a new mother, as well as the uncovering of her own neurodivergence.

Toeing the line between subtle gracefulness and an all-consuming force of confidence, ‘We’ve Got Time’ is a potent, emotive track that stirs a sense of empowerment and self-belief. Contrasting stripped-back, floaty verses with the soaring choruses that burst with a pulsating beat, upbeat melodies and waves of trance-inducing, razor-sharp synths, O’Neil pushes and pulls with her introspective lyricism and pop sensibilities.
Drawing from her own experience, O’Neil explores the theme of finding your way out, regardless of how tough the situation is.
Managing life as a mother of two with birth trauma, postnatal depression, physical disability and the undiagnosed neurodivergence of both herself and her young children, O’Neil found that her relationship was not what it once was. ‘We’ve Got Time’ is about making the most of hard situations, an ode to her partner and coming back to each other despite the hard times for their family. O’Neil states: “This song, for me, is about hope. It’s about the life we are building together now, and making a beautiful situation out of what felt like a very broken one. The last two lines of the bridge say ‘Can I see you right in front of me now? Cos you’re my way home. You’re my way home.’ And that’s just it, we’re finding our way home to each other again.”
‘We’ve Got Time’ was produced by Luke Minness (PRISCILLA, Have A Good Day, Yes Lenny), at Panda Candy studio owned by Glenn Sarangapany and Ian Berney of Birds Of Tokyo. Her recent musical partnership with Minness has led to one of the most productive years of her life and ‘We’ve Got Time’ is the first release of many now in the pipeline.
