The new musical project of Sydney based electronic artist Brad Mullins, shares the first glimpse of his talents as a songwriter with the debut single ‘Back To Life’ featuring the voice of Jade Alice. Mullins showcases his flair for club ready electronic music with a delicate edge and emotive capability throughout the inspiring composition, filled with highs and lows. Ethereal synthesisers surround driving basslines and warm drums, accompanied by an angelic vocal to complete what can only be described as a rare gem for a debut record, and a sign of what’s to come.
‘Back To Life’ combines Brad Mullins’ emotionally charged production with the heartbreaking vocal tone of Jade Alice. The song hooks you in from the start with its intimate lyrics, blooming synth patterns and anthemic aura. Jade’s voice floats over the soundscape, singing about a person who makes you feel yourself again.

Written during the lockdowns of the global pandemic, the lyrics explore the relatable feelings of isolation and anxiety, coupled with the sense of relief and euphoria felt upon the re-opening of society. The piece was run through the studios of Grammy-nominated mixer Matt Curtin (Flume, ODESZA) and acclaimed mastering engineer Wayne Sunderland (Dom Dolla, Willaris. K) with a meticulous attention to detail, receiving the tick of approval from industry heavyweights alike.
Brad says of the track: “The day that I started the instrumental, I instantly felt it was the beginning of a new project and creative outlet for me musically. I worked on the parts on and off for a long period of time, moving between places and tweaking them as I felt the inspiration flow. When I was locked away in my studio last year, I reached out to Jade. She emailed me a first vocal take and from that moment the track went to a different place.
We finished the lyrics together online during the lockdown, at the time she was working from her home studio in Melbourne and I was on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. It was a pleasure working with such a talent and i’m super proud of what we created.”
Brad Mullins cut his teeth as a regular in the DJ booths of some of Australia’s most esteemed dance venues and festivals. Countless nights in the controls of dance-floors were fuelled by long-term residencies at the revered electro powerhouse Starfvckers and globally renowned techno mecca, Goodbar Sydney. Night shifts at the likes of Revolver Upstairs, sets on festival stages including Subsonic, Earthcore, Future, Your Paradise and performing throughout the Asia-Pacific and Europe over the last decade were all experiences that inspired and forged the new chapter.
Jade Alice is a Melbourne based singer, songwriter and producer with a vocal tone that is both delicate and exquisite. Following the release of her nostalgia drenched EP ‘pink and blue’, Jade has clocked over 2 million streams across platforms in the last year, as well as collaborating on releases with a variety of Australian and International producers including Lucian, Kryder and Wongo. Recent shows include support for Seb Szabo, a Victorian headline tour and Earth Fest.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
