For Aussie Audiences This Summer

Putting the ‘rad’ in trad music, chart-topping Scottish quintet, Elephant Sessions, touch down on Australian shores 27 December for an 11-date summer tour armed with acclaimed new album, ‘What Makes You’.
Lauded by Rolling Stone Magazine on their passion for Scot culture and origins, as well as versatility and ability to use “their instruments like weapons to destroy clichés,” Elephant Sessions have become a must-see live act.
“We’ve released a new album recently, but we really write to perform, with a live show and audience in mind. We want people to come on a journey with us as soon as we walk on stage,” said mandolin player Alasdair Taylor.
“We create music as we’re touring, tweaking it all the time, so each show is a unique experience. This will be our third tour in Australia and we can’t wait to connect with folk fans here again.”
Exploding onto the world stage with 2017 album ‘All We Have Is Now’, which earned them BBC Scotland’s Trad Album Of The Year 2017, the 2018 Trad Live Act Of The Year winners continue to amass fans and critical acclaim across the world.
Following a string of successful UK headlining shows earlier this year, Elephant Sessions played some of Europe’s biggest festivals, including Glastonbury, Boomtown Fair, Tonder Festival, Wickham Festival, and the opening ceremony of the Solheim Cup.
This run of high energy Aussie shows kicks off the Scottish-Australian partnership, Year Of Scotland in Australia 2020, which will see the biggest showcase of Scottish music ever with more than 150 musicians performing 300 shows in 100 towns and cities nationwide.
Renowned for getting the floor boards bouncing and audiences crowd surfing, do not miss Elephant Sessions this month, performing at Woodford, Cygnet and Illawarra Folk Festivals, as well as headlining shows around the country 27 December, through to 19 January 2020.

Hailing from the Highlands of Scotland, Elephant Sessions transcend boundaries and shake the very foundations of expectation, or simply: they put the ‘rad’ in trad.
Exploding onto the world stage with 2017 album ‘All We Have Is Now’, which earned them BBC Scotland’s Trad Album Of The Year 2017, the 2018 Trad Live Act Of The Year winners continue to amass fans and critical acclaim across the world.
Festival favourites, Elephant Sessions have wowed crowds from some of the world’s biggest stages, including Glastonbury, Byron Bluesfest, Boomtown Fair, Tonder Festival, Wickham Festival, and the opening ceremony of the Solheim Cup.
Elephant Sessions released their new album “What Makes You” in May 2019, which has received great industry support and amassed more than 1.5 million Spotify streams and charted on digital charts across the UK and Australia.
Huge plans are on the horizon for 2020, including an Australian tour as part of Year Of Scotland Australia, showcasing at Folk Alliance in New Orleans, playing more of Europe’s favourite festivals, and their first tour of China. Watch out for this band, as they transform traditional music, one crowd-surfing audience member at a time.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
