Praise for ELIZA & THE DELUSIONALS
“eliza & the delusionals are showing off another side here upping the instant singalong factor. eliza is sounding immense and the band are right behind her taking this to big, bold places. love it!” – Triple J, Declan Byrne (‘YOU’)
“A band that can’t stop writing songs with great gleaming hooks! I very much appreciate the Pale Waves aura on this one” – Triple J Unearthed, Dave Ruby Howe (YOU)
“While exploring all too familiar feelings of heartache, depression and everything in between, the band manages to keep the song upbeat enough to have listeners wanting to play it over and over and over again.” – Culture Collide
“…well crafted, heart-felt and somehow seems timeless already. You’ll love it. Guaranteed.” – Livewire
“…ultra-hooky, lyrically-relatable alt-rock that recalls the best of what we all fell in love with in the carefree ‘90s.” – Vanyaland

There’s something about the way Eliza & The Delusionals execute their music that makes listeners feel both at home and taken on a new journey at the same time. Existing within the band is a songwriting dynamic that has only gone from strength to strength since their break out back in 2017 and now, heading into 2021, the Potsville/Brisbane group is back to belt it out the park once again.
With ‘YOU’, Eliza & The Delusionals return with a spirited and bright dose of indie-rock – a perfect reminder of their talents as artists and for those new to their game, it’s a perfect gateway point to their wider catalogue. Led by Eliza Klatt’s emphatic vocals, bolstered by excellently threaded guitars and rhythms, ‘YOU’ is an addictive listen.
Similar to contemporaries like Pale Waves, Soccer Mommy and Beabadoobee, Eliza & The Delusionals are unafraid to go in deep when it comes to writing from a personal perspective. ‘YOU’ is no different. Says guitarist Kurt Skuse of their latest track, “‘YOU’ was written as a point of view type situation of any type of relationship where you just can’t possibly do enough for a person, only to have them give nothing in return and pretty much throw it back in your face. Essentially watching someone fall apart and knowing there’s nothing more you can do to help. That’s why it’s called ‘YOU’, it’s for you.”
Produced by award winning engineer Kon Kersting (Tones And I) and mastered by Leon Zervos (Troye SIvan, Holy Holy) from Studios 301, ‘YOU’ comes through strong with big, bold sounds without losing of that classic Eliza & The Delusionals charm and edge that has been wooing crowds right around the country.
The band worked with video director Nick Maguire on the ‘YOU’ film clip, which perfectly encapsulates the ‘90s and ‘00s aesthetic the song rides on. The end result, vibrant and effortless, lets Eliza & The Delusionals’ personality shine.
“We were lucky enough to be able to film the video in a warehouse at Screen QLD, which was really handy as we had multiple large sets to build. It was great for that because we had more than enough space to work out of.. We wanted it to be inspired by the 90’s/2000’s outfit and style wise, and we wanted it to have something that was nostalgic but with a fresh feel to it.”

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
