(Wednesday, February 21st) Today, Nairobi-born, Adelaide-based singer, rapper and producer, Elsy Wameyo announces a run of live shows in celebration of her latest single, “SINNER” – out now. Elsy will perform at her headline show in Sydney and Adelaide, as well as festivals Golden Plains and Panama, and in support of ARIA-Award winning artist, Sampa The Great throughout the remainder of February and March.
2023 saw a momentous upswing for the artist, gracing stages across Australia including her headline dates with a full live band, in support of Genesis Owusu on his national album tour, and internationally throughout Kenya, before closing the year to festival crowds at Falls Festival and Lost Paradise. As part of the “SINNER” tour, Elsy will perform from Melbourne’s Federation Square on February 24, as lead support for another inimitable voice, Sampa The Great.
Next, Elsy will perform from the Tasmanian festival stage of Panama on March 9, before heading to Victoria’s Golden Plains festival the following day on March 10. On March 22, Elsy will perform from her home base for a headline performance at Adelaide’s The Lab, supported by hip-hop polymath Cazeaux O.S.L.O. The next day, Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory will play host to her final “SINNER” show on March 23.

Where Nilotic gave Elsy courage to take comfort in her own voice throughout poetic verses and songwriting structures, her latest single, “SINNER” resumed with a shining and transformative confidence. As a collaboration between Kenyan producers, Wuod Omollo and Polycarp Otieno, “SINNER” is a fast-switching pastiche of speedy raps, seeing Elsy’s musical vision come to fruition, alongside her own self-produced techniques. The single has since received playlist rotation from triple j, community radio, Rage and tastemaking support from the likes of ACCLAIM, Pilerats and more.
To date, Elsy has accepted multiple accolades for her previous debut EP, including a deserved six wins at the South Australia Music Awards for Best Studio Engineer/Producer, Best Music Video, Best Song, Best Solo Artist & Best Release, and later being crowned triple j Unearthed’s Artist of the Year. A bilateral journey of spirituality and personal growth, Elsy’s debut EP, Nilotic sought to claim back, fix and uproot the world’s evil while processing frustration and sadness through music. Including appraised singles “River Nile” and the eponymous “Nilotic” and now sitting on over 250,000 collective online streams since release, the EP went on to receive widespread acclaim upon release, seeing support from The Guardian, ACCLAIM, NME, Fashion Journal, Complex, additions across triple j, Double J, and numerous Feature Album placements at community radio nationwide. Elsy has been featured on numerous ‘Ones to Watch’ lists, including Red Bull and triple j Unearthed.
Step into Elsy’s blooming self-taught world of psychedelia, hip-hop, soul and R&B over the next few weeks, and secure your ticket to witness “SINNER” live at a show near you.

AMNPLIFY – ML
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
