Fresh from sold-out performances in Australia, LA’s Emotional Oranges share Your Best Friend is a Hater. The new track features on their new LP The Juice Vol. II available Friday 8 November via Avant Garden. Selling out shows across the world with their signature blend of sultry R&B, 80’s jazz guitar, funk and pop, the enigmatic duo has quickly amassed over 50 million streams.
Your Best Friend is a Hater is a smouldering track that calls out all the haters and shuts down the negativity that comes from having them around and consequently spills into a romantic relationship.
“Everyone has that hater ass friend who always has something negative to say! We were really inspired by Avant’s Makin’ Good Love at the time and it felt like the perfect energy to build the track around,” says Emotional Oranges of the track.
Produced by Emotional Oranges with co-production added by Dante Jones of THEY and Yonatan Ayal of Chiiild, The Juice Vol. II features the aforementioned Your Best Friend is A Hater, in addition to latest single Just Like You and lead track Don’t Be Lazy. The release follows on from their debut LP The Juice Vol. I, which includes first single and the official theme song for Ru Paul’s Drag Race in 2018 Motion, and breakout single Personal.
Not much is known of the LA-based male/female duo, but it has been speculated that when Adele’s vocal coach and Drake’s engineer met at a bat mitzvah in 2017, the band was instantly born. In less than a year, Emotional Oranges have found fans from Kanye West to Michelle Obama to Guy Fieri, with acclaim from The Fader, Noisey, Complex, NPR, Paper, V Mag and more.
Their dynamic live show described as performance art meets nostalgia futuristic, further highlights the potent exchange between the elusive duo. Currently in the midst of a North American tour with special guest Chiiild, Emotional Oranges will finish the year with headline shows in the UK and Europe.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
