Emerging Western Sydney/Eora Nation-bred talent ESHAAN (pronounced ISH-AHN) releases cathartic debut single ‘Back To The Future’ and announces his signing to the Paper Planes management team with Amanda Jenkins (Director, General Manager Sweat It Out /Central Station Records). Blurring the musical lines between pop, indie, and electronic, while channelling influences from his personal upbringing, ESHAAN’s intricate lyricism depicts despondent themes while yearning for a perfect reality. Utilising striking synths, melodic pacing, and atmospheric layering, ‘Back To The Future’ relishes in its unique future indie-pop soundscape, submerging the listener in his persistent search for his own conceptually perfect world.
With his candid vulnerability, ESHAAN attracts lyrical affinity in understanding the path to perfection isn’t always a clear one. His debut single is the ideal reflection of the artistic direction he is looking to take, prompting listeners to materialise their own interpretation through his individualistic experiences. Having performed his first live show and played out one of his own originals at Mardi Gras Fair Day alongside a multitude of talented LGBTQIA+ artists, ESHAAN looks forward to performing and bringing ‘Back To The Future’ to life on the live scene.

Reflecting on the internal meaning behind the track, ESHAAN says, “‘Back To The Future’ represents seeing yourself in a place where life is perfect but, after you’ve seen this perfect reality it’s ripped away. You are then dropped back into the present and you aimlessly wander around searching for remnants of that ideal world and whilst picking up the pieces, all that’s left for you to do is to blindly plead to the entity that brought you there and beg to be taken back. Although there are quite grim themes in place, it represents how hard one will work to get to a place of perfection and even though at times where you feel all is lost, there are always alternate routes and other ways to get there.”
Introducing himself to the Australian music scene with such a striking single, ESHAAN laid out his eagerness to connect and grow with listeners, saying, “The one thing I hope my music can do, is to have the ability to be placed into any one person’s life no matter their circumstances, and I feel that ‘Back To The Future’ is the perfect first step toward this. As this is my debut I’m beyond excited to finally see people engage with my music, after what seemed like forever. I’m so eager for people to be able to share what I’ve felt, to be able to find relativity in my music and as a collective learn and grow into the people we were in our dreams and who we will be, not now, but in the future.”
ESHAAN’s own personal experiences and heritage are an important part of his art, having grown up in Western Sydney as an Australian/South Asian, and as a proud part of the LGBTQIA+ community. The singer/songwriter is excited to represent these communities within the Australian musical landscape and has already progressed his goals with his debut live performance at Sydney’s Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras 2022 on the Fair Day main stage earlier this year. Armed with over ten years of musical experience, ESHAAN’s own influences are reflected in his unique sound. From the pop fierceness of Troye Sivan and Tove Lo, the melodic and intricate lyricism of Khalid, the electropop vibrancy of CXLOE and Vera Blue, and the dark-electronica stylings of RÜFÜS DU SOL, ESHAAN is a melting pot of sounds.
ESHAAN’s influences, both musically and personally, amalgamate into a conceptual project that will grow and introduce the world to his emerging talent with a string of new music to come over the next 12 months.
ESHAAN’s debut single ‘Back To The Future’ is out now.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
