E^ST is delighted to share the visual interpretation of her new single ‘Friends’ today. Filmed over three days in Tokyo, the video was directed by Josh Harris (who also shot E^ST’s last video for ‘I Don’t Lack Imagination’ and whose other credits include Gang of Youths, Kira Piru and Dustin Tebbutt) and features E^ST (born Mel Bester) exploring the large city while hanging out with some real-life friends, including electro-pop producer Golden Vessel.

E^ST says of the video:“It’s about having moments of connection in the most random places and times, and that no matter where you go there will be friends to be found.”
The ‘Life Ain’t Always Roses’ tour kicked off over the weekend where Bester performed to a sold-out crowd at Melbourne’s Howler. This week, she will play at the Woolly Mammoth in Brisbane before taking the stage in Perth and then in Sydney later this month. She will be joined on tour by rising Sydney-based singer-songwriter Kota Banks and Jack Gray.
Last month, E^ST shared Life Ain’t Always Roses; a seven-track EP which includes widely-lauded singles ‘Blowjob’, ‘I Don’t Lack Imagination’ and ‘Alien’. Bester worked with Australian luminaries M-Phazes, Dann Hume, and Japanese Wallpaper on the production of the release, which brims with charisma and irresistible pop hooks.
