‘Hayden Silas Anhedönia delivers a powerful set of sprawling, gothic pop under her Preacher’s Daughter persona’ – The Guardian
From a conservative religious upbringing in small-town Florida to inclusion on Barack Obama’s annual playlist, the acclaim for her debut album, the sprawling, country-tinged Preacher’s Daughter (2022) has established the 24-year-old as one of the hottest new talents of the moment. Earlier this month she made waves by walking for iconic fashion label Miu Miu at the 2023 Paris Fashion Week.
Ethel Cain is inspired by gospel, country, rock and her mother’s soundtrack of Gregorian chants, channelling her influences into her dark and dreamy breakthrough EPs Carpet Bed (2019), Golden Age (2019) and Inbred (2021) that saw her likened to an American Gothic version of Lana Del Rey. Driven by the deceptively poppy hit ‘American Teenager’, Cain’s debut Preacher’s Daughter confirmed the arrival of a major new star, its sprawling tales of God, murder and cannibalism wrapped in a haunting, bewitching dream.
Experience the unparalleled power that is Ethel Cain live when she makes her Australian debut this June.

About Ethel Cain
The jaded daughter of a dead preacher-man caught in an exodus, Ethel Cain winds her way through a dizzying attempt at escape from her suffocating upbringing only to find herself crushed within its jaws in the end. Hayden Anhedönia, the woman behind the curtain, serves as the architect for the visceral and haunting world of Ethel Cain.
After single handedly writing, producing and mixing her EP Inbred from the basement of a church in Indiana, Inbred was released in 2021 to critical acclaim, receiving overwhelming support from Pitchfork, Paper Mag, The FADER, Billboard, NYLON, Vice, The Line Of Best Fit, Vanity Fair France, Zane Lowe, Spotify, Youtube, Soundcloud, and Tidal.
After over four years of meticulously constructing her debut album and the graphic visual world that accompanies it, Preacher’s Daughter, was released in May 2022 catching fire with her growing fanbase of loyal daughters. Cain will release new music later this year, alongside extensive touring and festival appearances across the globe.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
