Late last year, triple j’s award winning live music team recorded what sadly turned out to be Juice WRLD’s final headline performance.
Now, triple j can exclusively play the set for you in a very special posthumous Live At The Wireless broadcast.
The now-historic recording features all the big hits, like ‘Robbery’, ‘Lucid Dreams’ and ‘Fine China’, as well as some parting words of inspiration to his fans.
To close out the set, Juice addressed the sold out crowd, urging them to “…do whatever the f**k you want to do in this life. Whether you want to be a rapper, actor, doctor, laywer, whatever the f**k you wanna be… so go out there, put in the work and do that shit. Now, go do great things.”
You’ve only got a few chances to hear this very special Live At The Wireless set, by listening live on triple j.
Next Monday night, tune in to triple j Good Nights as Bridget Hustwaite brings you every big tune and goosebump from the high-energy concert. Then on Wednesday, Dave Woodhead will replay the set on triple j Lunch, timed for overseas fans to enjoy! Then on Sunday we‘ll have the usual Live At The Wireless replay.
Juice WRLD triple j Live At The Wireless broadcast times:
– Monday 27 July: 8pm AEST // 6am ET // 3am PDT
– Wednesday 29 July: 12midday AEST // Tues 28 July 10pm ET // 7pm PDT
– Sunday 2 August: 5pm AEST // 3am ET // 12midnight PDT
Juice’s show at Melbourne’s Festival Hall on Thurs 28 Nov 2019 was to be his last ever headline concert. Later that month, he played Spilt Milk festival in Ballarat before jetting home to Chicago, where he died of an accidental overdose on Sun 8 Dec. Gone too soon, just days after celebrating his 21st birthday.
The hip hop world reeled from the tragic passing of Juice WRLD, who was a figurehead of the emo-rap movement and earned a huge, dedicated following for his musical dynamism, honesty, and charisma. Unsurprisingly, Juice WRLD’s posthumous album Legends Never Die broke streaming and chart records when it was released earlier this month.
On top of his titanic streaming numbers and influence across hip hop, Juice WRLD was also a good friend and mentor. Just ask Sydney-bred, L.A. based rapper The Kid LAROI who’s spoken about the impact of Juice WRLD’s death, having opened for the rapper on his 2019 Australian tour, collaborated on their recent single ‘GO’ and is now on the verge of seizing his own megastardom. Of course, Juice’s local influence doesn’t stop there. Delve into the breadth of Juice WRLD’s effect on Australian music, and you’ll find it’s truly remarkable.
You can listen to Juice WRLD’s triple j Live At The Wireless performance on your FM and digital radios, streaming on the triple j website and on your mobile via the triple j app on iPhone or Android.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
