The true gift of art, is its ability to affect multiple layers of our experience, both as the artist and as the witness. Just as Adelaide metalcore outfit Falcifer dropped their debut EP Pain at the start of 2020, the world and their future came to a grinding halt. The four piece used that time away to hone their craft, to develop their skills, and to solidify their line up, and the result is their new two-track release Alone Again.

Falcifer get deeper with the emotional struggles dealt by the difficulties of the past two years on this latest release.

Vocalist Stephanie Marlow, who has spent these past two years honing her voice into something so brutal, shared her thoughts on the two new songs “‘Alone’ and ‘Again’ speak about the personal internal battles at a time of increasing isolation and helplessness.  The songs reflect on feelings of separation, loneliness, anxiety and anger, and the vulnerability of communicating about those emotions.”

Will I ever bloom again?

After 2020 threw a massive spanner into the forward motion of Falcifer, the band have now regrouped, and are doing everything they can to make 2022 their year. On Thursday March 24th, they have their first headlining show at Melbourne’s Stay Gold with Anticline, Loose End, Gravitate, and Tunnel Vision.
