Getting high on hope, New Zealand juggernaut Fat Freddy’s Drop today release their new single ‘Trickle Down’.
The electronic-driven single is a reaction to the politics of the day – the false economic principle of wealth trickling down from the 1% to the 99%. As they sing of running out of patience while waiting for the rain to fall, a confident, steady beat propels us forward as a sign of promise.
Recorded at the band’s BAYS studio in their hometown Wellington, the track arose from a series of jams. It is a slice of the new album they’re cooking up as a follow-up to their earlier releases BAYS, Blackbird, Dr Boondigga, The Big BW and record breaking Based on a True Story.
