Melbourne based audiovisual band, Fierce Mild are pleased to announce the release of their first vinyl 7” of popular ‘Solaris + Song He Never Wrote’. These tracks are from the upcoming album expected in late 2018 and explore surreality, darkness and the human psyche which is ever present in their material.
Solaris, released with the incredible music video directed by Stephanie Peters explores themes of Australian noir twisting the serene and internationally renowned Great Ocean Road into a location of seething turmoil. This video gives a taste of the incredible imagery that is woven into every one of their live performances with live visuals drawing the audience in to a Lynchian dreamscape.

Fierce Mild aim to stimulate the audiences at their shows in the way that a film does as the set flows through a narrative both visually as well as sonically. Their Northcote Social Club show in Melbourne on Saturday 26th May is slated to be no different, sharing the stage with experimental drone trio Taipan Tiger Girls and interstellar no-wave post-punk band Astral Skulls.
After this launch, they will head north for a performance at VIVID Festival. Event Producers Stargazed Music + Art Initiative and Yeah Nah Yeah join forces for Underwater Galaxies at Freda’s on Thursday 31st May. As with other events by these collectives, the events incorporate in equal measures music, projection art as well as visual artists. Other artists who will be involved in the event include a Jono Ma + Jonti collaboration and Sydneysiders, Foshe.
Fierce Mild will also perform an intimate record store show at Record Crate on Saturday afternoon on the 2nd June. With a limited capacity, this will be a unique opportunity for Sydney audiences to see Fierce Mild in close quarters and grab one of the limited release 7”.
