Fig invites you back into their world with ‘I Heard It In My Dream’, the second single from their forthcoming album. Following their nationally well received first single, ‘No Need To Rest’, the band have collaborated with arguably the greatest voice on the Sydney scene, Caitlin Harnett (this time without her Pony Boys), to bring a country element to a 90’s inspired bed of synths and soft drums.
Delicate country melodies balance lightly above textured chords, abandoning classic song structures to weave through lush soundscapes. The end product is a duet that fills your heart and then plucks away at its strings.
“‘I Heard It In My Dream’ is a synth-driven country ballad about the reality that sets in when we don’t tell the truth about love. Told from the perspective of a deceased couple looking back on their lives, it’s ultimately a comedy. So what better way to tell that story than to team up with one of Sydney’s most legendary and irreverent country singers; Caitlin Harnett.”
With a string of sold-out shows under their belt including The Factory Theatre, Marrickville Bowlo, The Landsdowne and The Vanguard, the group has created a dedicated following without any of the traditional support of media and playlisting, instead fostering a community around what they’re bringing to the world.
Come September the band will be back on the road with a micro tour out of their home city before taking on Oxford Art Factory’s main stage in November for a big album release ceremony.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
