Today Sydney’s Cabu releases his new offering ‘Signs’, an understated feel good-jam. A collaboration with fellow Sydney vocalist Vanessa Elisha, Cabu’s new single showcases the beginnings of a fruitful musical partnership featuring Elisha’s cleverly catchy melodies.
Cabu, a Filipino-Australian artist and producer, has been quietly but surely gathering a strong following overseas. After releasing his recent EP ‘Twenty-Three’ through tastemaker label Majestic Casual, Complex UK premiered his single ‘Good’ with Akacia giving a nod of approval to the ‘silky smooth rhythms that perfectly augment the sultry vocals’.
Fans and critiques in the USA and Europe have taken to his genre-bending blend of hip hop beats and off-kilter pop with over 20 million streams across streaming platforms Spotify, Apple Music and Soundcloud.
Reminicient of production heavyweights Ta-Ku, Kaytranada and Lunice, Cabu has been especially known for his remix work, most notably on the remix to ‘Joe Hertz – Stay Lost’. In 2018 he toured alongside Slumberjack for their national tour and has performed with fellow Australians Basenji and Joyride.
With innovatively crafted unreleased remixes and his next EP is set to land in late 2019, Cabu is a fresh voice with a catalogue of brilliant tunes yet to reach our ears. ‘Signs’ is just the beginning.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
