Zaccaria Concerts & Touring are thrilled to announce that By The C is back in 2023 to deliver epic live music in some of the most scenic locations in the country! Headlined by Aussie rock legend, Jimmy Barnes, with a massive line-up that includes The Living End, Birds of Tokyo, Pete Murray, Kasey Chambers, and Mahalia Barnes & The Soul Mates, these are some of the biggest By The C shows yet!
This beachside festival event is the perfect place to gather with mates and family to kick back or rock out with these era-defining and iconic tracks, topped up with food trucks and a pop-up bar for the ultimate beachside experience. The concert organisers have created a safe and inclusive environment, ensuring that all ages can enjoy this unforgettable experience.
The crash of a drumkit, the thunder of a bass guitar, and waves of roaring music rolling over the crowd. This is real music. This is By The C.
Says Jimmy Barnes “I am very happy to be hitting the road again for the By the C tour. After my surgery, I am happy to announce that not only am I back on my feet, I’m fitter and stronger than I’ve been in years. So, let’s get ready to rock! We’re being joined on these shows by The Living End, Birds of Tokyo, Pete Murray, Kasey Chambers and my fabulous daughter Mahalia Barnes and her band The Soul Mates. It’s a great line up and it will be a killer tour. I look forward to seeing you all there!”
Jimmy Barnes, is the heart and soul of Australian rock and roll. He has nineteen #1 albums, more than The Beatles, and he has sold more records in Australia than any other local artist. For over 40 years he has delivered some of our most intense and iconic live performances both as a solo performer and as front man for the legendary Cold Chisel, leading him to be inducted into the ARIA Hall of fame … twice. He is truly in a league of his own.
In addition to his phenomenal music career, Jimmy has also written three #1 best-selling books, with his acclaimed memoirs Working Class Boy and Working Class Man winning back to back ABIA Awards in 2017 and 2018. Never one to slow down, Jimmy released two new titles in 2021 – a 2nd children’s book, Rosie the Rhinoceros and a cookbook with his wife Jane titled Where the River Bends.
He and Jane also lifted Australian spirits throughout the Covid pandemic with their daily ‘at home’ performances attracting over 100 million views on social media.

The Living End are an Australian punk rock band formed in 1994. Since 2002 the line-up consists of Chris Cheney, Scott Owen and Andy Strachan. The band rose to fame in 1997 after the release of their double A-sided single, “Second Solution” / “Prisoner of Society”. They have released eight studio albums and have had two No. 1 debuts on the Australian Albums Aria Chart. They have also gained chart success in the United States and United Kingdom. The Living End are one of Australia’s most ferocious live acts, consistently headlining festivals around the country. Their blistering live performances have earned the band an enviable position of one of Australia’s greatest live bands.
Birds of Tokyo have grown from independent roots to become one of this country’s most popular rock bands. The Perth five piece have released three chart topping albums driven by top 10 hits like ‘Good Lord’, ‘Plans’, ‘Unbreakable” and ‘Lanterns’. One of Triple J’s three most played artists of this millennium, they are also the only artist in history to win ‘Rock Work of the Year’ on five separate occasions at the APRA Awards. Having performed twice at the AFL Grand Final and the NRL’s “State Of Origin”, and toured as special guests for everyone from Muse and Bon Jovi to Midnight Oil and Cold Chisel, Birds Of Tokyo’s songs have become a soundtrack for contemporary Australia.

Multi-platinum selling Pete Murray has released 7 albums and 2 EPs over an impressive career and is one of only a few Australian artists with over 1.2 million album sales under his belt, receiving 17 ARIA nominations throughout his career. Murray’s first three albums all reached #1 on the Australian music charts and his first album FEELER reached number 1 and remained in the Top 100 for two and a half years. BEST OF is a collection of Murray’s most popular singles of the past 20 years.
There’s a moment in most artists’ young lives when they realise music will shape their future and define who they are. Kasey Chambers didn’t have to wait for that moment to arrive. Music is part of her DNA. The Captain (1999) remains one of the most extraordinary and lauded debuts by an Australian artist in any genre. Songs such as the title track, ‘Cry Like a Baby’ and ‘These Pines’ boast a maturity beyond her years and a wealth of Americana-styled musical influences, yet the album has Australia and family at its core, ingredients that have been a staple of Kasey’s songwriting ever since then. Greater success was to follow. Barricades & Brickwalls (2001), Kasey’s second album, broke more ground, winning best album at the 2002 ARIAs and landing her at the top of the pop charts in Australia and the third album, Wayward Angel (2004) was another monster success, going straight to No.1 in Australia and producing a string of singles. Further successful albums followed with Carnival (2006), Rattlin’ Bones (2008), Kasey Chambers, Poppa Bill and the Little Hillbillies (2009), Little Bird (2010), and Storybook.
Born into Australian rock royalty and influenced by the music her father, Jimmy Barnes, recorded and played, Mahalia naturally began singing at a very young age. As an artist, she’s drawn to guitar-driven gutsy soul, rock and blues, and is inspired by acts like Ike and Tina Turner and legendary queen of soul Aretha Franklin.
Before the pandemic shut down so much of the live performance industry, Mahalia Barnes and The Soul Mates toured Australia non-stop, playing supports for the likes of US hip hop greats The Roots, Lionel Richie, UK singer James Morrison and gospel/soul legend Mavis Staples, as well as playing festivals and headline shows of their own.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
