On Saturday October 13th 2018, Hope Estate will host an All-Australian line up, bringing a new sound and music culture to the rolling hills and lush vines of the Hunter Valley.

We now able to reveal new additional to an already sensational line-up. Indie rock outfit, British India will join the top of the ticket.

10 years together and 5 albums in, the foursome from Melbourne had an acclaimed catalogue. Rather than resting of their previous success, British India experimented with new sounds and sought an external producer, recruiting the talents of Holy Holy’s Oscar Dawson. The final product is their sixth album and most recent album, Forgetting the Future.

Spanning 10 tracks that encapsulate British India’s high-tempo indie rock sound. The first single from the album, Precious, shows off a solid hook and chorus that landed the song plenty of radio airplay. They are the perfect complement to the top of the ticket with The Jungle Giants and we can’t wait to have them in the Hunter.

Also joining the bill is a great group of local bands including Vacation, Grace Turner and Good Thanks, all from Newcastle, IVY from the Central Coast and Good Lekker who hail from Wollongong.

Our headliners, The Jungle Giants have four songs on the 2018 Hottest 100 and are selling out shows all over the country. They will head a stellar line-up including Trophy Eyes, Kingswood, Luca Brasi, Tired Lion, The Belligerents, Ali Barter and Maddy Jane. FKA Festival inaugural year is already off to a cracking start. These artists will be turning up the volume on a stage previously dominated by many large International and Australian acts from The Rolling Stones to Angus & Julia Stone.

This unique festival will also host roaming entertainment, gourmet food trucks, DIY workshops, Hope Estate’s award-winning beer and wine and a few more surprises to be announced.

In 1968, Hope Estate, formerly known as Rothbury Estate, added fine wine and Jazz, in 2018 they’re adding Craft beer and Indie Rock. As Wine Country extends to craft beer and distilled spirits, so too does the range of live music in the Hunter Valley.
