There’s no slowing down for Fletcher Kent, the genre-blurring indie-pop force who’s fast becoming one of Australia’s most exciting new artists, with the release of his third single ‘Wasted’; a euphoric, love-drenched anthem built for screaming crowds and late-night spirals.

Fletcher explains,“‘Wasted’ is about those feelings right as you’re falling in love with someone. Becoming intoxicated by the essence of this person- love drunk. Both feeling lit up by the new flame yet also kind of out of control as you realise you’re invested past the point of no return. It’s maybe my favourite song to play live and hearing people sing “I’m so wasted” has been super fun.”
To celebrate the release, he’ll be launching his brand-new single at Old Mates on Sunday June 29, the NYC dive bar with Aussie roots and late-night legend status, co-founded by Australia’s favourite duo Hamish & Andy. Fletcher has become a fixture at the venue with a residency over the last few months.
Renowned for his magnetic live presence, the past six months have seen Fletcher cement his reputation as a one-of-a-kind performer. From electrifying audiences at a VIP pre-show event for Green Day at Marvel Stadium, to lighting up Live Nation’s ‘Ones To Watch’ showcase, he’s continued to deliver standout sets. He also took the stage at Rolling Sets Festival — a fan-voted slot that saw him share the bill with Lime Cordiale and The Wombats.
His previous singles ‘I’ll Be’ and ‘Are You Ready’ made waves on Spotify’s Pop’N’Fresh and Apple Music’s New In Alternative, and helped cement his status as one of the country’s most compelling young artists.
