About River Lane
Pull up a barstool, grab a beer, and soothe your existential crises to the warm, dusky sounds of Adelaide singer/songwriter River Lane. Known for her insatiably curious spirit, River is ever-experimenting with new instruments and technologies to help her explore the depths of herself and her sound, so it’s likely that you won’t see the same show from her twice.
River’s music has been broadcast nationwide on Triple J, featured at Uber Fest in Melbourne, and recognized by the SCALA board as the winner of the recorded music category at their Festival of Original Music competition. She also holds a unique title that no one can ever take from her— Mannum’s first ever legal busker.
River is currently in the studio working on her upcoming project: an oceanic guitar tapestry through a journey of self-acceptance, set to release throughout 2023.. About ‘Human Design’
The moment that we realize that the struggles we experience aren’t because we’re a uniquely flawed individual, but simply because struggles are a part of Human Design, is the moment that empathy, courage, and resiliency are born within us.
Friends and collaborators River Lane and Leena Regan wrote Human Design together after recognizing they were not alone in their shame spirals over past mistakes and missteps. The compassion that each of them had for the other’s story brought attention to the lack of self-compassion they each had for themselves. The creation of this song served as an outlet to release themselves from the prison of rumination that kept them stuck in patterns of pain and to begin their journeys of forgiveness and transformation.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
