“Writing this song with Chelsea felt so easy. We complemented each other very well, adding to each other’s ideas with such ease. Writing this song was a very smooth, delicate and healing process and I think we made something quite special. Chelsea is an angel and it was such a pleasure to write this together,” tells Ange.
Chelsea adds “the song came together with a lot of finesse – whether it was re-recording a million little vocal tracks separately, stripping the production back or zeroing in on every lyrical moment, this song is as intricate as it was healing to make. It was incredible to share this message of self-preservation and moving on with someone as nurturing and creatively proficient as ANGE. The femme energy in this one is strong!”
Despite how the title of the song may sound, “Dead to Each Other” is intended to be a gentle farewell with no hard feelings to spark a journey of self-realisation and personal growth. “Separating from someone usually doesn’t happen gradually,” tell the singer-songwriter producer power duo. “The song represents that drastic change that has to happen and the conscious decision of setting boundaries to move on. From the first verse to the last chorus there is a big evolution in the story. From doubt to accepting the situation and having the strength to let go.”
“DEAD TO EACH OTHER” by ANGE & CHELSEA WARNER is out now.

Multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer, Chelsea Warner has been writing and playing music almost her entire life. In 2020, she emerges as a frontrunner in the neo-soul/R&B genre’s next generation, fusing slick OG hip-hop inspired beats with clever lyrics.
An eloquent and studious creative, her music explores narratives of self-awareness, self-deprecation and introspection, musing on her shortcomings and perhaps way too high expectations of the world around her as she finds her place within it. With most of her writing happening in her late teens and first couple years as an adult, it undeniably echoes the turbulent process of coming into her own as a woman. She is currently constructing her debut EP to reflect this period of her life.
Her 90s hip-hop and R&B inspired debut single, ‘How Come You Don’t Pick Up Your Phone’ drew comparisons to Erykah Badu and Solange, with Pilerats calling it “a washed-out dream of R&B, soul, pop and hip-hop”. With “the slightest hint of dancepop in its jittery beat couple with smart lyrics and Warner’s honey smooth vocals” (Women In Pop), the track anchored Chelsea’s love of 90s style grit and genuinity, as well as modern pop structures and hooks, as she now sets forth to explore these worlds through more releases.
Chelsea is currently focusing on honing her technical skills with her voice and instruments at the prestigious Sydney Conservatorium of Music, studying songwriting, production, music technology and jazz theory. She also writes and produces any spare moment for either herself or other artists, with a growing network of treasured collaborators and friends by her side. She is establishing her undoubtedly enduring presence in the Australian music industry.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
