Good Gumnuts Festival has revealed its 2026 lineup, led by iconic Australian acts Dope Lemon and The Jungle Giants. What began in 2022 as a small community gathering has quickly grown into one of Tasmania’s standout all-ages music festivals, with next year marking its biggest edition yet. Festival co-director Harry Badcock said landing Dope Lemon and The Jungle Giants was “a bit of a pinch-me moment.”
“This is our biggest lineup to date, and we’re so excited to share it,” he said. “We’ve
worked really hard to make the festival more of an experience, with workshops, art,
and activities alongside incredible live music. People want to feel like they’re part of something, not just a one-day event.”
Joining the headliners are dancefloor favourites Young Franco and Sneaky Sound System,
along with nostalgic hitmakers Thirsty Merc and Art vs Science. The bill also features DICE, Rum Jungle, Kim Churchill, Playlunch, Letters To Lions, Adam Newling, Kira Puru, Dizzy Days, Joel Leggett, Big Wheels, and more than 20 emerging and established acts including エ ミエミ (emi emi), Lasca Dry, Baby Lemur, & JAMESLANE⚡
Co-director Charlotte Grey said programming an all-ages festival meant creating space for
everyone.
“We started as a small community festival, and it’s part of who we are. It’s really
important to us to keep that connection strong,” she said. “That’s why the City Of
Burnie Brass Band will open the festival and why groups like Ulverstone’s
Slipstream Circus will be performing. We want every generation to feel welcome.”

Beyond the music, the festival will feature a packed program of experiences: Roaming Magic with Gareth the Magician, Mindful Wild Steps, Slipstream Circus, Face Painting, Bella the Bookworm, Mini Rhythms, Inkcarts Pop-Up Tattoo Studio and more. For those “a little less brave,” henna tattoos and collaborative art projects will also be on offer.
Sustainability and community remain at the heart of Good Gumnuts. Recycle Rewards will return, with all drink container refunds donated to City Mission.
The festival has also partnered with the Burnie Show to present a Battle of the Bands for high school and college students, with the winner earning a main-stage slot.
Now in its second year at Burnie’s Agriplex at Romaine, the festival is expected to bring a major boost to the local economy, with accommodation, food, and beverage businesses all set to benefit.
“It’s not just a festival, it’s a driver for the community,” Mr Badcock said. “It’s a really
good thing for Burnie and for the whole North West Coast.”
Tickets go on sale Wednesday 10 September at 9am (pre-sale), with general sale opening
Saturday 13 September.

AMNPLIFY – DB

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
