YOU WERE SO MAGNETIC
Premiered last night by Declan Byrne on triple j’s Home and Hosed is rising multi-talent G Elenil’s sweeping pop number ‘GoodTime’, the second single from her debut EP Kin. ‘GoodTime’ is available through all digital platforms now. Kin is set for independent release in May 2018, and is now available through media request for review only.
Creeping in slowly and warmly, then all at once – like sunlight always seems to when you head’s still hurting from the night before – ‘GoodTime’ is an anthem to chasing a feeling to the Earth’s end, even if it ends up being fleeting. Weighing washed-out piano chords against undeniable vocal hooks, the track is co-produced by G herself alongside ascendant local beatmaker/musician tomtom (Miss Blanks, May Lyn).
.
.
Thanks in no small part to her explosive live presence, G has shared stages with the likes of Little Simz (UK), Futuristic (USA), Miss Blanks, Jesswar, Midas.Gold, Carmouflage Rose, Nico Ghost, Swilo, Genesis Owusu, The Harpoons and make guest appearances at Listen Out, Laneway & BIGSOUND via her verse on the scene-defining Fempre$$ Cypher.
G will put her trademark “playfully aggressive” style on display next at 4ZZZ’s Put Us First Fest Afterparty along with fellow local innovators Rebel Yell and May Lyn, with more live dates TBA.
.
.
Kin’s effervescent lead single ‘SOMETHING’ garnered support on FBi Radio, PBSFM, 4ZZZ and many more, with G also finding fans at triple j, Purple Sneakers (who named her an Artist to Watch in 2018) and more. Kin is an unbound diary of a complicated family’s experiences with financial stress, neglect and addiction – and a testament to those around us that shape who we are.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
