Melbourne singer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist G FLIP has announced her biggest headline dates ever, after playing sold out Australian-New Zealand dates last September. This May, she will hit Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory on Thursday 2 May, Brisbane’s The Zoo on Monday 6 May, Melbourne’s Corner Hotel on Thursday 9 May, and Perth’s Jack Rabbit Slims on Friday 10 May, in addition to bringing her killer live set to Groovin’ The Moo 2019.
With an ever-expanding catalogue of electro-pop gems, from triple j staples ‘About You’ and ‘Killing My Time’, to brand new tracks ‘Bring Me Home’ and ‘Drink Too Much’, G Flip – born Georgia Flipo – has risen from bedroom producer to immense success in just a short year.
A musician born out of a love for drumming, G Flip blew audiences away with her cover of ‘Proud Mary’, performed live under the sails of the Sydney Opera House on New Year’s Eve. Her dynamic performances are accompanied by her talking drum kit Jeromo; the animated LCD, created by G Flip herself, is a creative addition to her punchy hooks, making for a memorable live experience.
Her rapid ascendance has seen G Flip play standout sets at major festivals Splendour In The Grass, Laneway Festival, The Great Escape, Dot to Dot, SXSW and headline shows in the USA & the UK.
