LORD GLADSTONE HOTEL, SYDNEY
LORD GLADSTONE RENAMING THEIR PUB: “THE FORBEARANCE” FOR 3 DAYS
AUSTRALIAN HEADLINE TOUR STARTS THIS WEEK

Praise for GANG OF YOUTHS
“It’s creatively dense, life-affirming, and unlike any other record, you’ll hear this year. It’s the sound of them reaching for greatness. And boy, do they achieve it.” – triple j
“It’s big music. It might even be lifesaving.” – The Australian
“Sonically, the album expands on Gang Of Youths’ typically propulsive, Titus Andronicus-meets-Springsteen stompers with unexpected forays into ’90s house, trip-hop, UK garage, Afrobeat and disco on the sublime Tend The Garden, as well as Le’aupepe’s Pasifika heritage through the use of Maori choirs, traditional instrumentation, and samples from the recordings of ethnomusicologist David Fanshawe”– The Age
“Gang Of Youths have crafted some of their finest work so far.” – NME Australia
“As a whole, angel in realtime. manages to transcend the events that inspired it to create a cohesive, accessible whole. On one hand, it’s an impressive document that allows fans to delve deep into the story of Le’aupepe’s father as he invites them in and shares the impressive tale, but on the other, it stands tall as a powerful record that works even without context.”– Rolling Stone Australia

The countdown is on for Gang Of Youths, angel in real time Tour, and to celebrate, the band have a surprise for Australian fans. The iconic Sydney venue in Chippendale, The Lord Gladstone Hotel, will be renaming itself, for a limited period, “The Forbearance”.
The name “Forbearance” is a homage to a fan favourite track from the band’s #1 ARIA Album angel in realtime., a track which the band recently performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live . The creation of the virtual pub now lives on the band’s Discord, so Sydney-siders will get a taste of what’s to come when the doors swing open under the new and iconic name.
The band will also be hosting a pop-up shop on the higher level of The Forbearance, using the Good Space Gallery. An exclusive merch range that won’t be available to purchase on tour, including a throwback “vital signs” range, limited edition blue and pink alternate artwork covers for ‘angel in realtime.’
Gang of Youths’ will also have their very own wine and beer available, created in collaboration with Golden Child wines, and Atomic Beer.

.
The pop-up will be running from Saturday the 6th until Monday the 8th of August.
About the Merch:
As with all Gang Of Youths merchandise, the clothing range available at the pop-up has been made with a sustainable approach, using 100% recycled materials, and will feature designs from the incredibly talented likes of @imnotverychill and @bradleypinkerton. You can expect to see hats, beanies, tees, beer glasses, drink bottles, jumpers, bags, and more.
About the Beer and Wine:
The beer is described as a modern interpretation of a classic US-style pale ale. Light malt character is layered with big citrus and stone fruit hop notes and balanced bitterness. This brew packs the flavour while never sacrificing sessionability.
For the wine connoisseurs, the flavour is reminiscent of a Beaujolais / Gamay with strong structure from the Syrah and nuances of light red fruits like strawberry and raspberry to finish and is a super sessionable fun wine with serious fruit behind it!
We highly encourage everyone to get down before the Qudos Bank Arena show on Saturday 6th August, meet with other fans, have a browse, and bring some cash to grab some limited goodies whilst we get the chance!
The angel in realtime. tour will be kicking off in Perth on Saturday, 30th July 2022, and will be finishing up in Sandstone Point on August 20th 2022 for ‘A More Perfect Union’. The ‘A More Perfect Union’ Hobart (TAS) instalment will feature Mercury Prize-winning and Grammy-nominated UK singer-songwriter Arlo Parks along with Cub Sport, Gretta Ray, The Lazy Eyes and Adam Newling, whereas the Sandstone Point (QLD) edition will feature Matt Corby, Middle Kids, Budjerah, BLESSED, Becca Hatch and Romero.

About Golden Child
The Golden Child story really began when David Hamilton planted vines in the Kuitpo sub-region of the Adelaide Hills in 1997, with the help of viticultural guru Geoff Hardy. David grew grapes and sold them to local wineries. He dabbled in making wine for himself but never really released anything commercially. Fast forward almost twenty years and David’s son James (and James’wife Alanna) use some grapes to produce Golden Child’s first ever vintage in 2016. The wines were well received and the brand has been growing ever since. James is becoming more involved in the grape growing side of the business and is implementing changes including more sustainable farming (largely organic practices) and planting new varieties that suit the climate of the vineyard (Gamay, Fiano and hopefully one day Nebbiolo and Nerello Mascalese).
About Atomic Beer
Atomic is Redfern’s local brewery and taphouse. We’re all about cold beer, hot food and good times.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
