George Alice knows how to start off a year, and that’s with a stunning new track ‘Hold On’, the announcement of her debut EP Growing Pains and a headline tour on the way.
‘Hold On’ was produced by Japanese Wallpaper (Allday, MAY-A, Mallrat, Rostam) and Xavier Dunn (Client Liaison, Jack River, Carla Wehbe) and says George of the track “’Hold On’ is from a previous chapter in my life, it was written the day Maribelle and I wrote ‘Circles’ in 2019 – I was 15, in the same living room, with the same people and I think there’s something really special about this song because of that factor. The song itself is written about loss, whether it’s heartbreak or in other ways. Sometimes people leave and you can’t get them back, they’re gone for good, sometimes it feels like you’re drowning in the tide, or you just can’t make up your mind, all of your thoughts are empty and frozen till you start to heal, so I guess the best message you can give yourself is to hold on, and it’s always important you do.”
‘Hold On’ features on George Alice’s upcoming debut EP Growing Pains which will be released on 18 February. The EP will also contain previous singles ‘Mid Years’, ‘Teenager’, ‘Stuck in a Bubble’ and ‘Circles’.
Following the EP release George Alice will hit the road on a headline tour taking in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and her hometown Adelaide in May.
George Alice will also be seen in the coming months supporting Allday, The Veronicas and Amy Shark at various shows around the country.
With a triple j Unearthed High-winning debut ‘Circles’ in her stride, the last two years have been big for 18-year-old George Alice. Officially signing a global deal with US label Loma Vista Recordings (Denzel Curry, St. Vincent, soccer mommy) George made a splash with follow-up singles ‘Stuck In A Bubble’ and ‘Teenager’, with all three singles now having amassed a total of 20 million global streams.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
