GEORGIA FIELDS:
‘HIRAETH’
National Tour Nov/Dec 2022

Singer-songwriter Georgia Fields has announced a national tour in November/December to celebrate the release of her highly-anticipated third studio album, Hiraeth – a widescreen vision of melodic, artful pop.
In her magnetic solo show, Georgia moves deftly from electric guitar to vintage keyboards and textural live looping, “painting entire worlds with her tunes” (Frankie Magazine). The sonic shapeshifter will share songs from the new album Hiraeth, along with a few favourites from previous releases.
Produced by drummer/multi-instrumentalist Josh Barber (Gretta Ray; Gotye), Hiraeth takes its title from a Welsh word with no direct translation, referring to a profound yearning or grief for the lost places of your past. Georgia’s’ distinctive vocal brings to mind the piercing, understated clarity Feist and the shoulders-back power- stance of Sharon van Etten. From songs about motherhood, infidelity and death, to rapturous anthems of healing and home – at its core, Hiraeth is an ode to the many languages of longing.

The album arrives Thursday 17 November, following hot on the heels of four celebrated single releases throughout the year. The latest of which is Tigress: a slow-building, fierce-hearted track that opens with a haunting howl and a vast, propulsive rhythm.
The song is accompanied by a dreamy, atmospheric music video, featuring contemporary dance performances by rising stars Nikki Tarling and Liat Kedem. Sweeping through the expansive, light-drenched warehouse with liquid-like movements, the two dancers cautiously circle one another and eventually entwine, embodying the graceful vulnerability and kinetic ferocity of new love. As the song progresses, Georgia is drawn into their dance – enveloped by the two women who tenderly manipulate her arms and movements. Directed by Naomi Pattuwage (Heaps Stoked Productions), and filmed on location at Prana House, the official video is premiering on Georgia’s YouTube channel this Thursday 22 September, 8pm AEST. There’s a teaser on Georgia’s IG HERE.
Now, Fields sets her sights outward as she prepares to tour Hiraeth nationally. She says: “writing and recording the album has been quite an internal process. So I’m really looking forward to sharing Hiraeth with the world, singing these songs live and seeing how they connect with people. It’s a vulnerable feeling, but also quite joyful.”

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
