Gina Jeffreys returns to centre stage with her new single ‘CASH’ following a 12-year break from releasing new music to raise her family. ‘CASH’ and its accompanying video are released today ahead of the ‘Beautiful Tangle’ album release on August 9, and will be followed by the ‘Beautiful Tangle Tour’ beginning on August 10.
The inspiration for ‘CASH’ comes from Gina’s career-launching tour in 1994 as the support act for the legendary Johnny Cash. It was a time that changed Gina’s career from singing to five people a night in a dimly lit Sydney wine bar, to opening for Johnny Cash in front of 15,000 people a night!
Gina said, “I still pinch myself that it was real. I learnt more by standing at the side of the stage watching him than any school could ever teach. I have been throwing this idea around for years because I really wanted to try and to capture my gratitude for this opportunity.”
‘CASH’ is taken from Gina’s forthcoming ‘Beautiful Tangle’ album – a stunning collection of personal stories that come straight from the heart. Her first album of original songs since the release of ‘Walks of Life’ in 2007, ‘Beautiful Tangle’ showcases the rich and distinctive voice that has won over the country music audience since Gina’s award winning career began nearly 30 years ago.
Gina will tour in support of ‘Beautiful Tangle’, beginning at Gemfest on August 10. Please see below for further tour dates.
Gina first delighted audiences with her music as the winner of Star Maker in 1991. She went on to become Australia’s first ever female country artist to sell platinum albums, perform sell-out shows across Australia, and take her music all over the world.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
