Grammy-nominated, Platinum-selling British band Glass Animals have announced the expansion of their upcoming Australian tour; adding a second show at Sydney Opera House Forecourt due to overwhelming demand. The new date sees the four-piece take over the iconic venue on Wednesday 27 November, with tickets on sale now.
This highly anticipated run of shows arrives ahead of Glass Animals’ fourth studio album, I Love You So F***ing Much. Due out on July 19 2024, ILYSFM is an expansive record about love in all its shapes and forms, befit with retro-futuristic production that travels in and out of the “shapelessness of love”. Fans can listen to the album’s recently released singles “A Tear In Space (Airlock)” and “Creatures in Heaven” for an early glimpse into a sublime record’s tale of 10 intimate love stories, set against the backdrop of the vast universe.
Glass Animals’ Australian run kicks off on Wednesday 20 November, with the band landing in Melbourne for a performance at Sidney Myer Music Bowl, before heading to Brisbane’s Riverstage on Friday 22 November. The following week, the band round out the tour at Sydney Opera House Forecourt on Tuesday 26 and Wednesday 27 November.
Earlier this year, Glass Animals announced a mammoth 44 date tour, taking the four-piece band across North America, Europe and UK, kicking off in the USA next month, and concluding at London’s 20,000-capacity The O2 Arena on 7 November. But Glass Animals wanted super fans to hear the record for the first time live, and most recently embarked on a global pop-up tour, playing a surprise show at Sydney’s Liberty Hall – an immediate sell-out – alongside locations in Mexico, Indonesia and California for an intimate taster of the record to come.
I Love You So F***ing Much is the follow-up to 2020’s critically revered Gold ARIA Accredited Dreamland, which sold over 12M copies globally and gave life to “Heat Waves”, the record-breaking song that became the biggest international hit from a British band in almost 30 years and is now x19 Platinum ARIA Accredited. It was the first song to reach #1 with a single writer and producer since Pharrell’s “Happy” and led to the pop world’s biggest acts, including Florence Welch, all wanting to work with band member Dave. Additionally, it became the first song by a British band since the Spice Girls’ “Wannabe” in 1995, to claim #1 for 5 consecutive weeks in the Billboard 100.
The four-piece were also crowned triple j’s Hottest 100 winner, with “Heat Waves” topping the Australian singles chart for six consecutive weeks and #1 on the ARIA Top 100 Singles for the year of 2021. It has achieved over 44B global streams and become the first British band to achieve #1 in the Spotify global chart, whilst holding space in the Billboard Hot 100 for longer than The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights”.
Now as promised, the band set the stage for fans to witness their live show, as one of the biggest British contemporary bands on their upcoming Australian tour. Pre-save the band’s forthcoming album, I Love You So F***king Much and join the love space odyssey by securing your ticket to one of this year’s most anticipated performances.

Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
