Eora/Sydney-based music agency Good Intent has announced the addition of two new venues to its live programming roster: Bootleggers, a 200-cap band room nestled upstairs at Kelly’s on King in Newtown, and The Trocadero Room, a 140-cap dedicated space located on the vibrant strip of Enmore Road in Enmore – in addition to The Lansdowne Hotel, the iconic 300-cap venue, which just celebrated 100 years.
It’s the next natural step for a team that’s been steadily backing artists at every level – from sweaty dive bar sets to national tours in bigger rooms – and doubling down on enhancing infrastructure that keeps Eora/Sydney’s music scene moving.
“We’re deeply passionate about creating real pathways for emerging Australian artists – especially at a time when grassroots rooms keep disappearing,” says Good Intent Venue Bookings Coordinator, Amelia Vesperman.
“Small-to-mid sized venues are the lifeblood of our industry. Without them, your next favourite artist might never get a proper launch – or worse, never launch at all. Eora/Sydney’s live scene has copped it for years – lockouts, lockdowns, cost-of-living pressures – and we’re proud to play a part in helping rebuild. These rooms are about giving the community more places to show up, plug in, and grow something special,” she continues.

The Trocadero Room
.
Since taking over programming at The Trocadero Room in early 2025, Good Intent has already played host to the likes of The Terrys, Shady Nasty, The Double (USA), Polish Club, FANGZ, Freddy Crabs, and Day We Ran, alongside a wave of sold-out shows from local and emerging acts. The calendar’s filling fast – with the remainder of 2025 already looking stacked.
In even better news for artists, The Trocadero Room is set to receive a full backline upgrade – including Fender amps and an Olympic drum kit – giving artists the ability to help cut down on logistical challenges and costs, by being able to essentially rock up, and plug in and play.
Down the road in Newtown, Bootleggers is launching as a 200-cap venue inside Kelly’s on King, just steps from major public transport. The upstairs room will also be fitted with Fender guitar amps, rounding out a full backline setup with drums. The venue has also recently completed a $15,000 upgrade across its already stellar in-house production, to ensure the best experience for artists and fans alike.
Bootleggers will be available to book seven nights a week for ticketed shows, while Good Intent will also curate in-house programming – including late night free entry shows on Friday’s, and rotating club nights on Saturday’s championing a broad range of genres, communities and collectives.
Good Intent are also the current Venue Booker for The Lansdowne Hotel and over the past year at the helm they’ve brought Fontaines D.C. and IDLES through for kick-on DJ sets, hosted Spacey Jane, Miss Kaninna, Odette, Private Function, Yabun Afterparty, Keli Holiday, The Preatures, SXSW Sydney, Phoebe Go, Ocean Sleeper, POSSESHOT, Hockey Dad, Aleksiah and Tash Sultana (DJ Set) to name but a few.
As a wider music company, Good Intent, offer a range of services across artist management, press, marketing and label services, and run a photography / videography studio Good Loco out of their Bulanaming/Marrickville-based office.

AMNPLIFY – DB

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
