Grammy-nominated pop icon Jhené Aiko will bring her highly anticipated Trip tour down under, with a special run of live shows in Australia this September.

Jhené will be making three stops on the Australian Trip tour, starting at Brisbane’s Eatons Hill Hotel on September 22, then to Melbourne’s iconic Margaret Court Arena on September 23 and finishing at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on September 26.

Trip is the long-awaited follow-up to Jhené’s critically hailed debut album Souled Out, which entered the R&B Albums chart at #1 upon its release in 2014. “Jhené Aiko transforms heartbreak, tragedy and existential crises into a dreamy escape,” raved TIME magazine, with Pitchfork declaring, “
[the album] surges with a lush, aquatic gravitas, distinctly R&B but never confined to genre conventions.” The LP’s first single and video, “The Pressure” has over 11.1 million YouTube views to date.

Souled Out took flight on the strength of Jhené’s phenomenal #1 debut EP, Sail Out (2013), the biggest selling EP in Def Jam history with her sizzling BET award-winning and Grammy-nominated #1 platinum crossover hit “The Worst”, as well as collaborations with Kendrick LamarVince Staples and Childish Gambino for “Bed Peace”.

Jhené Aiko already had more than a decade of experience before releasing Sail Out, having been featured on singles, albums, and mixtapes by A-listers Kendrick Lamar, Wale, Big Sean, Logic, J. Cole, Drake and many more. In 2016 she also collaborated with multi-platinum superstar Big Sean on their debut duo project, TWENTY88. The ’70s-centric concept album delved into the highs and lows of the relationship between a famous fictional couple, with insights into conflict, memories, love, sex and more.

Having joined Drake on his 39-city North American “Would You Like A Tour?” tour, Jhené makes her way back to our shores for a run of All Ages shows in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. With Grammy nominations up her sleeve and a tonne of support from her peers, Jhené Aiko is not to be missed.
