Five-time Grammy Award-winning rock band Green Day have debuted at #1 on the ARIA album chart his week with, Father Of All… (Reprise/Warner Records). Green Day have had ongoing success in Australia – with previous album Revolution Radio hitting #2 on the ARIA chart – but Father Of All… is their first #1 ARIA album since 2004’s legendary American Idiot.
The news comes hot on the heels of the announcement of the Hella Mega Tour with Fall Out Boy and Weezer coming to Australia this November presented by Live Nation and Triple M; a continuation of the near sold-out global stadium tour. The Hella Mega Tour starts June 13th in Paris and will visit cities throughout Europe, the U.K. and North America before heading to Australia.
The stadium tour kicks off on November 8 at Perth’s HBF Park, before heading to Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium on Wednesday November 11, followed by Bankwest Stadium, Sydney on November 14 and concluding in Brisbane on November 17 at Suncorp Stadium.
