“Glow in your presence, I’m watching you light up the room In the moment I treasure, your silhouette in-tox-icating”
In this third single from 5 track concept EP Chauffeur, Vinny Lunar reclaims the effortless and sensual beauty embedded in his heritage, as he describes an encounter with a captivating goddess.
Enchanted by a figure who blurs the line between reality and fantasy, we hear Vinny chant “Hai Rama” – “dear God” in Hindi. In this cheeky homage to AR Rahman’s seductive 90s Bollywood ballad Hai Rama Ye Kya Hua, Vinny conveys the effortless beauty and innate sensuality of this ethereal being, as he surrenders to her power, reconnecting to himself and his cultural legacy in the process.
“There is a sensuality embedded in Indian culture and dance that’s worth celebrating and appreciating – the charm, confidence and playfulness of male Bollywood protagonists is met with the elegance and innate beauty of the women they are wooing.”
With a sound reminiscent of Wizkid and Craig David, Hai Rama is sensual and seductive. Low Beams’ hypnotic Afrobeat and Reggaeton inspired, dream-like production fuses subtle Bollywood samples, driving synths and the traditional instrument of Northern India, the Tumbi. This provides a playful canvas for Vinny’s multilingual and laid back vocal performance, painting a vivid sonic mirage as he waves in and out of English and Hindi.
The EP’s first two singles On The Outside and Chandra were added to FBi Radio rotation, featured on BBC Radio’s Asia Network, received glowing reviews on Triple J Unearthed, and airtime on PBS and RRR, heralding the wave of interest Chauffeur is provoking.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
