Praise for DEATH WOBBLES:

“Gold Coast riff bruisers HAMMERS are on the brink of a huge moment…it feels like a genuine coming-of-age record for one of the country’s most exciting heavy acts.” – Music Feeds

“…Death Wobbles is the sound of HAMMERS fully realised…these are world-class songs, delivered with world-class conviction, from a group of world-class legends that have earned their place. A debut album that feels anything but tentative, Death Wobbles is bold, heavy, thoughtful and deeply satisfying, proof that HAMMERS were justified in waiting until the moment felt right.” – Everblack Media

“These fuckers are the musical equivalent of a schizophrenic sociopath, knowing when to turn on the charm to draw in their victims and then when to emerge from the shadows, knife in hand, to deliver the decisive blow. And if that doesn’t sound like your idea of the perfect first date, then remind me never to go out for coffee with you…” – Heavy Magazine

“HAMMERS took their time making Death Wobbles, and that patience is obvious from within the first few minutes…Confident, grounded, and unforced. For a debut album, that’s a rare position to occupy, and HAMMERS occupy it in their own unique way.” – Metal-Roos, 4/5

“Credibility like this isn’t manufactured. It’s earned by turning up loud, staying weird, and never sanding down the sharp edges…HAMMERS feel less like a band “breaking through” and more like one finally being met where they’ve already been standing and waiting.” – Waxx Lyrical

“The joy of the album is that it is underpinned with strong songwriting narratives and the fantastic use of the Australian idiom, expressions and it is unafraid to sound it…Hammers have taken the brave path on Death Wobbles to drive home their thoughts, heavy guitar riffs, emotive hooks, screams, and grooves as they push the boundaries of the heavy music scene.” – No Barriers Au

“The album is a raucous, mammoth sized slab of sun burnt, sand stuck to your failing sunscreen, droplets running down your cold beer, getting out on your first ball metal…Funnier than Hogan, more powerful than a croc’s jaw and tougher than the outback” – HiFi Way

Death wobbles: a term for a violent and uncontrollable shaking of a vehicle, skateboard, surfboard and beyond that readily translates to the human experience. Or, if you’re Gold Coast rockers HAMMERS, it’s a conduit to channel post-hardcore-meets-alternative metal swagger into 12 thematically and musically hard-hitting tracks, resulting in the band’s long-awaited debut full length album DEATH WOBBLES, out via Summerland Records.

A record forged with their trademark infectious grit, genre-bending wit and blistering Aussie charm, DEATH WOBBLES also marks a significant progression for HAMMERS, both sonically and spiritually, with the group pushing their own creative boundaries and the very confines of what it means to be a heavy band in the 21st century. All cookie cutters were broken in the making of DEATH WOBBLES; this is an album made by music lovers, for music lovers.

Produced by Forrester Savell (Karnivool, Dead Letter Circus, The Butterfly Effect) along with engineering courtesy of Michael Campbell (She Cries Wolf, Vengeance, Deficit) and Luke Palmer (Dead Letter Circus, Boo Seeka, Jacob Lee), DEATH WOBBLES traverses nihilism, apathy, the weakness of the human condition, political commentary, greed, misuse of power, division and disconnection, unabashedly aiming deep below the surface along with heavy riffs, emotive hooks, spine-snapping grooves and gut-wrenching screams; and all conjoined with, as vocalist and guitarist Lucas Stone puts it: “fists full of love.”

Firmly flying the flag for true blue Australian rock’n’roll in a modern industry where fortune rarely seems to favour the bold, HAMMERS’ uncompromising wares have continually transcended any roadblocks in their way, striking an unforgettable balance between flippant fun and searing substance without sacrificing genuine craftsmanship. Equally in-demand onstage as they are for their diverse sonic smorgasbord, HAMMERS ticked off their first international tour in 2024, headlining in New Zealand and Japan, and have previously shared stages with the likes of He Is Legend, Mammal, and The Butterfly Effect, as well as their own renowned headline shows.

Closing out 2025 with an Australian headline run, a nomination for Video of the Year at the Gold Coast Music Awards, and also supporting Aussie rock icons Cog, the release of DEATH WOBBLES via Summerland Records (an independent label run by the band’s own Stone and Ricky T) is only the beginning of a massive 2026 and beyond for HAMMERS. Set to embark on an East Coast headline run this March and April in celebration of DEATH WOBBLES, ticking off Wollongong, Sydney, the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Ballarat, Melbourne, Coffs Harbour and Lismore, HAMMERS will also reunite with Cog in April, joining the Walk The Line tour in Canberra, Wollongong, Penrith, Chelsea Heights and Barwon Heads.

At long last armed with their debut album, as well as more videos, international touring, new merch (and “more dumb pirate skullduggery”, as Stone reveals) still to come in the very near future, HAMMERS are primed to take on the world, armed with fortitude and an unwavering passion for everything they put their minds to.

“We’re so incredibly excited to rip the pin and launch the grenade that is DEATH WOBBLES into the ears of the world,” shares vocalist Leigh “Fish” Dowling. “We’ve oozed our souls into this album with the help of Luke Palmer, Michael Campbell and Forrester Savell, and will forever be grateful.”

“To say we’re proud of this slab of music is an understatement,” Fish concludes, “and we can’t wait to see y’all bouncing ya heads along with us to these spells on the road. Love ya’s.”
