‘HEADRUSH’
APPEARING AT DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL
THIS MONTH

After premiering via triple j’s Good Nights last night, homegrown rock favourites Hands Like Houses are revealing a new track today in ‘Headrush’. It comes aead of the band’s appearance at Download Festival in Melbourne and Sydney this month.
On the genesis of the new track, the band explain that it was born from a busy summer of touring with little rest and time to unwind, adding: “…now that things have cooled down somewhat we thought it’d be sick to bring some good old windows-down, head-bobbing, ground-pounding vibes to throw yourself into a new decade to.”
Digging into ‘Headrush’ further, the five-piece add that the single is a call to arms to anyone facing a daunting task or decision.
“Headrush’ is all about pivotal moments – the big call, the big play, the big push – and the voice inside your head that says “yeah, nah” when your heart’s saying “hell yeah!” You’ve got this. Make it count. See you at Download!”

Having spent the summer on an extensive headline tour of the US and appearance at Shiprocked, Hands Like Houses return to home soil to play Download Festival in Melbourne and Sydney later this month, sharing the bill with the likes of My Chemical Romance, Deftones, Jimmy Eat World, Clutch, In Hearts Wake and more. Later the band will head to the UK and Europe for a co-headliner with Normandie alongside a slot on the Slam Dunk stage. Full details and tickets via the band’s website.
Hands Likes Houses peaked at #4 on the ARIAs and bagged the coveted triple j Feature Album slot for their lauded last album – Anon. Amid critical acclaim from the likes of Hysteria (“Masterpiece of an album. 9/10”) and Depth (“their most unique and ambitious release to date. 9/10”), the band have gone on to sell out countless headline national and international shows in support of the record. With their next assault now at hand and more in the pipeline, 2020 is shaping to be another landmark year for Hands Like Houses.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
