Have your say in Support Acts
latest mental health and wellbeing survey
.
Dear Friends
Working in music or the creative industries and want to share your experiences?
Our Mental Health and Wellbeing in Music and the Creative Industries 2024 survey is now open, and we want to hear from you!
We know that many of you are struggling right now, and we’d love to understand the issues that are impacting your mental health and wellbeing, from rising cost of living, increased performing/production costs, loss of work, workplace safety and/or career concerns, to which services and supports you turn to for help. We’d also love to hear all the great things you’re currently experiencing in our wonderful community!
Your answers will help us determine how we can better support you in the future through services such as the Support Act Wellbeing Helpline.

The survey, conducted in conjunction with the Centre for Social Impact Swinburne with support from Entertainment Assist, is open to anyone over the age of 16 who works in music, arts (community arts/community engaged practice; emerging and experimental arts; First Nations art and culture; multi-artform practice; performing arts; and visual arts, craft and design), digital games, screen and literature.
We’re inviting all of the creative industries to participate to give us a more holistic view of the mental health and wellbeing of the sector as a whole, and to better align with the wide range of creatives who currently access our Wellbeing Helpline.
The online survey is completely anonymous and voluntary and takes 15-30 minutes to complete. Those needing to access the survey in an audio call format can contact Dr Aurora Elmes on 03 9214 5687.
It’s open now until Tuesday 18 June and the findings will be announced in August. A summary of the results will be made publicly available on our website.

AMNPLIFY – DG
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
