Beloved Ohio emo veterans Hawthorne Heights will return to Australia in April 2026 to celebrate 20 years of their seminal album ‘If Only You Were Lonely’. They’ll bring with them New Jersey post-hardcore legends Armor For Sleep for a long-awaited headline run celebrating the golden age of emo. Tickets go on sale Friday 7th November at 9am local time via Destroy All Lines.
The five-date tour kicks off on Wednesday 22 April at Magnet House in Perth, before making its way through Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane, where it wraps up on Tuesday 28 April at The Brightside Outdoors.
Over two decades since their formation, Hawthorne Heights remain one of the most iconic emo acts of the new millennium. Released in 2006, If Only You Were Lonely remains a landmark album in the emo genre, featuring timeless tracks like “Saying Sorry” and “This Is Who We Are”. The album cemented Hawthorne Heights’ status as one of the era’s defining acts, earning Gold certification and leaving a lasting impact on fans around the world.
Throughout their career, the quartet have endured every obstacles thrown at them, but these roadblocks always seemed to come from external forces – unscrupulous record labels and the shifting whims of fickle audiences to unimaginable personal tragedy threatening to derail them – yet their resolve has only strengthened. Despite the odds, Hawthorne Heights continue to thrive as a touring force nearly 20 years after their inception.

Joining them across the Australian run is Armor For Sleep, celebrating the release of their brand new studio album There Is No Memory, out Friday 7 November via Equal Vision/Civilians. Recorded with Sam Guaiana (Silverstein, The Devil Wears Prada, Between You and Me), There Is No Memory is a collection of songs that force the listener to question the very nature of their existence, of what makes us the people we are.
Formed in 2001, Armor For Sleep became a cornerstone of early 2000s emo with their concept-driven albums Dream to Make Believe (2003) and What to Do When You Are Dead (2005), influencing countless artists that followed. After a lengthy hiatus, the band triumphantly returned with The Rain Museum in 2022, and are now walking a new creative path that blends their classic emotional storytelling with fresh perspective.
Hawthorne Heights If Only You Were Lonely 20th anniversary Australian tour is a celebration of evolution and endurance. Tickets available Friday 7th November at 9am local time and presale available Thursday 6th November at 9am local time Here

AMNPLIFY – DB

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
