Hugely loved Sydney-based producer Hayden James, has today revealed additional dates on his sold out “Just Friends” live tour for lucky fans in Adelaide and Auckland this September. Additionally, those who managed to snag a ticket, will welcome news Hayden will bring along young Brisbane rapper, Carmouflage Rose and sultry disco duo Happiness is Wealth to spark dancefloors alight across the nation.
The newly announced dates see Hayden James pay a visit to Auckland for an appearance at Studio The Venue on Friday, September 14 and a trip to Adelaide for a show at Bonython Hall on Saturday, September 22. These dates join a string of unique sold out shows at Melbourne’s iconic Forum Theatre on September 7, Perth’s Astor Theatre on September 8, The Triffid in Brisbaneon September 15 and Hayden’s home city on September 21 at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre.
Following an epic US tour and festival run, Hayden’s homecoming tour will be the world premiere of his new live show. Joining him on the six-date run of shows will be hotly tipped, up-and-coming hip-hop artist Carmouflage Rose. Built on the influence of Kanye’s 808’s and Heartbreaks and the African drum and synths of his heritage, his set will have you losing your inhibitions, jumping front and centre and feeding off an endlessly energetic stage presence.
Joining Carmouflage Rose is collaborative duo, Surahn Sidhu and Omar Varts, otherwise known as the multi-dimensional music project Happiness Is Wealth. Consistently striving to blur lines between music, fashion and art, Sidhu has worked with Australian music’s finest, including Flight Facilities and Empire Of The Sun, while Varts paved paths in the New York fashion scene. With over 10 years combined experience behind the decks, the enigmatic pairing will bring a set that is as much disruptive as it is intuitive.
The September tour builds on what has been yet another impressive year for Hayden James, with the recent release of his single “Just Friends”. The track is an infectious four-minutes of pitched-down soulful harmonies, driving bass lines and direct vocals from Boy Matthews – all wrapped within Hayden’s signature twist of alluring momentum and rolling grooves. “Just Friends” follows on from the previous platinum-certified summer anthem, “NUMB” featuring GRAACE which is a captivating arrangement of velvety vocals and crafty synthesisers.
After busy stints in the studio, finessing his own material and co-writing for the likes of Katy Perry, Hayden will next gear up for a huge run of homecoming stage performances. Don’t miss witnessing his all new live show at some of Australia’s finest venues this September.
