Hein Cooper is back, making waves with his brand-new single ‘Submarine’—the mesmerising opening track of his upcoming album, My Own set for release Friday May 23. A song about surrendering to life’s unpredictable currents, Submarine invites listeners to embrace the unknown and trust the forces shaping the journey.

Hein reflects, “I often feel lost and anxious about where my life is going, spending so much energy worrying when things don’t go as planned. Lately, I’ve been writing music to help me let go—like the ocean. The surface can be chaotic with wind and waves, but beneath, there’s a stillness, a flow, like a submarine drifting with the currents. It’s incredible where we can go when we trust and surrender.”

The forthcoming album My Own, set for release Friday May 23, represents Hein Cooper’s most authentic and transformative work to date. It’s a deeply personal album that chronicles his journey through self-doubt, self-discovery, and ultimately, self-acceptance.
