Alternative metal originators HELMET announce a welcome return to Australia shores in 2020, celebrating 30 years of the band by performing 30 essential songs from their storied career.
For three decades Page Hamilton and HELMET have manipulated the boundaries of modern guitar music, fusing complex jazz sensibility with a total sonic assault, all the while providing the granite-like foundation for a myriad of bands who hail the New York City outfit as their key inspiration.
As a guitarist Hamilton’s influence is undeniable, his dedication to the craft has resulted in a brutally precise player possessing the ability to throw down synapse-contorting time signatures, monumental mathematic riffs and molten liquid leads, all at intense, soul cleansing volume.
In May, 2020 fans both new and old across Australia will be called to arms, implored to experience the 30 songs that define the history of Helmet, while displaying just why they remain an essential live concern on the global touring circuit.
The flamethrower intensity of classics like “Unsung”, “Wilma’s Rainbow”, “In The Meantime”, “Milquetoast”, “Pure” and “Ironhead”, along with a selection of thoughtfully curated deep cuts will set hearts alight over two massive hours of unrelenting, guitar rock nirvana.
30 years. 30 songs. No openers. This is essential HELMET.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
